Itinerary
Day 1 - Lisbon - Óbidos - Alcobaca - Nazaré - Fátima - Lisboa
We collect you at Marques de Pombal Square in Lisbon at 8:30 am—please aim to arrive 15 minutes early. From there, we travel north to the charming walled town of Óbidos, known for its narrow streets and the historic Pousada do Castelo. Next, we visit Alcobaça to see the 12th-century monastery, home to the tombs of King Pedro and Inês de Castro. After a lunch at a local restaurant, we continue to Nazaré, a vibrant fishing village renowned for its colourful houses. In the afternoon, we explore Batalha Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a fine example of Gothic architecture. Our day concludes with a drive to Fatima, where we stay overnight at a hotel on a bed-and-breakfast basis. Lunch is included.
Day 2 - Fátima - Lisbon - Lisboa
After breakfast at the hotel, you have a free day to explore Fatima at your own pace. This important Christian pilgrimage site offers the chance to visit the church housing the tombs of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, as well as the Chapel of Apparitions at the heart of the shrine. There is also the option to attend mass. Later in the afternoon, we travel back to Lisbon through the vibrant farming region, arriving in the city where you will be dropped off at your designated location. Breakfast is included.
