Itinerary
Day 1 - Buenos Aires
Arrive at Aeroparque Jorge Newbery in Buenos Aires – Argentina’s capital. We’ll meet you on arrival and transfer you to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure – you can settle in after your flight or start exploring at your own pace. If you arrive at Ezeiza (Ministro Pistarini International Airport), the transfer is not included – you can prebook it as an optional extra. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 2 - Buenos Aires
After breakfast, we set off on a guided tour of Buenos Aires to take in its signature landmarks and neighbourhoods. We begin in Tres de Febrero Park – the city’s largest green space – alongside the historic racecourse and prestigious polo ground, pausing at Plaza Italia. We make photo stops at Plaza de Mayo, San Telmo and the colourful streets of La Boca. In Recoleta, you can choose to enter the famous cemetery, known for its ornate mausoleums and notable figures. We also view Iglesia del Pilar and the Metropolitan Cathedral. As we travel, we follow the city’s grand avenues – Corrientes, de Mayo, 9 de Julio, Alvear and Del Libertador – pass through Palermo, Recoleta and the modern waterfront of Puerto Madero, and see the Obelisk, Lezama Park, the Ecological Reserve and the main commercial and financial districts.
Around 18:00, we collect you from your hotel for an evening of tango, folklore and fine dining at El Aljibe, a beautifully restored early 20th century conventillo that preserves the city’s immigrant heritage. During its restoration a 17th century well was discovered. The Tango and Folklore Show features 15 performers, including a live quartet led by maestro Carlos Buono, a singer, three couples of dancers and a thrilling malambo act with traditional boleadoras, ponchos and drums. A three course dinner of classic local and international dishes is served with local wines. After the show, we return you to your hotel. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 3 - Buenos Aires - Tigre
After breakfast at the hotel, you have a full day at leisure to explore Buenos Aires at your own pace – revisit favourite spots, browse for local crafts or simply relax and soak up the city’s atmosphere.
If you would like to add an excursion, the Half Day Delta Classic – Boat Navigation & Tigre City Experience – is available as an optional extra. Pick up is at 08:00 and the tour lasts 5 hours. It begins with a one hour boat ride through the Tigre Delta’s network of rivers and lush islands, passing traditional stilt houses, schools and churches, with an audio guide on board sharing facts about the area’s history, ecosystem and culture. Back on land, you continue through Tigre along Victorica Avenue, visit the Puerto de Frutos market, see the historic City Council building and wander the gardens of the Tigre Art Museum, surrounded by waterfront cafés and restaurants – a relaxed contrast to the city and a glimpse into island life just outside Buenos Aires. Overnight in Buenos Aires.
Day 4 - Buenos Aires
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer you to Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP) for your departure. If your flight leaves from Ezeiza – Ministro Pistarini International Airport – the transfer is not included and can be arranged in advance as an optional extra.
