Itinerary
Day 1 - Zagreb
On arrival at Zagreb Airport, a representative meets you and helps with your transfer to your accommodation. Once you have checked in, the rest of the day is free. You could take a first wander through the city streets or settle into a cafe for a coffee.
Please note: If you are already staying in Zagreb, a pickup from your accommodation can also be arranged.
Day 2 - Zagreb - Ljubljana
After breakfast, we set out on a morning sightseeing tour of Zagreb, the Croatian capital. We explore the fortified Upper Town and the city's historical centre, where St Mark's Church stands out with its multi-coloured roof. Along the way, we also see the Cathedral, the Croatian National Theatre and the University.
From here, we drive around 150 km (roughly 2 hours) to Ljubljana for an afternoon guided tour of the Slovenian capital. We take in the most significant sights of its old centre, including the picturesque Central open-air market, the Three Bridges, the Baroque Town Hall and Robba's Fountain. Tonight is spent in the Ljubljana area.
Day 3 - Bled - Plitvice Lakes
This morning, after breakfast, we head for Bled, a small town in the Julian Alps that ranks among the most beautiful alpine resorts. With mountains and forests surrounding an emerald glacial lake, the setting feels like something from a classic fairy tale. Here we visit Bled Castle, the oldest in Slovenia.
We then continue to the Plitvice Lakes area, a journey covering around 360 km (roughly 4 hours) for the day. We have dinner and spend the night here.
Day 4 - Split
The day starts with a morning walk around Plitvice Lakes, a well-known UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its natural beauty comes from 16 crystal-blue lakes cascading into 92 spectacular waterfalls.
Next, we drive around 240 km (roughly 2.5 hours) to Split. This afternoon, our guide reveals the secrets of the UNESCO-protected Diocletian's Palace and its cellars. The original palace was reshaped by its new inhabitants during the Middle Ages, which made it even more beautiful and turned it into what it is today, the living heart of the city.
This evening, we have dinner at a local restaurant before spending the night in Split.
Day 5 - Split - Dubrovnik
Today, after breakfast, we set off towards Dubrovnik on a journey of around 230 km (roughly 3 hours). On reaching the Peljesac Peninsula, we board a small boat at Hodilje and head to a mussel and oyster farm to discover the flavours of the sea.
We then continue to a hidden peninsula surrounded by lush coastal forest, where our host prepares fresh seafood in a charming summer kitchen. We relax beneath the pines to the sound of birdsong and gentle waves while enjoying an authentic seaside feast.
After lunch, you have free time to explore the beautiful little town of Ston. Later, we visit one of the wine cellars on the Peljesac Peninsula and toast the day with a glass of Plavac Mali, the region's signature red wine. Dinner and the night are spent in the Dubrovnik area.
Day 6 - Dubrovnik
We begin after breakfast with a city tour of Dubrovnik, the UNESCO-protected "Pearl of the Adriatic", including a visit to its impressive Cathedral. We step back in time to discover the heritage of the once-renowned maritime Republic of Dubrovnik, admiring its elegant palaces, historic fountains and magnificent city walls. Wandering the marble-paved streets, we take in the beautiful Baroque architecture and sweeping views over the shimmering Adriatic Sea.
The afternoon is yours to spend as you like. You might find a spot for a swim or linger over a coffee in a cafe. We then come together for a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 7 - Dubrovnik
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before spending some free time at your leisure. When the time comes, we will transfer you to Dubrovnik Airport for your onward journey.
