Day 1 - Welcome to Cannes, France!
Arrive in Cannes and make your way to the hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is at your leisure.
Tour Style: On this tour you will stay in the same hotel throughout, with included excursions and free time to spend at leisure. On the excursions the maximum group size is 45. A tour leader is on hand at the hotel to provide information and assistance throughout your stay.
Day 2 - Tour of Cannes and Antibes
Cannes - Antibes - Cannes. Today after breakfast, we will have a walking tour of the glamourous Cannes. Starting at Promenade de la Croisette we'll learn about the film festival, admire the yachts and wander through Le Suguet. Our day then continues in Antibes, where we will explore the cobblestone streets of the old town of Antibes and stroll along Port Vauban and pass the imposing 16th century Fort Carre.
Day 3 - Day at leisure in Cannes
Today, you have a full day to relax and enjoy the charms of the Cote d'Azur at your own pace. You can go sightseeing and shopping in Cannes or visit nearby towns and villages. Your guide can suggest activities and places to visit.
Day 4 - Nice & Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild
Cannes - Nice - Cannes. We depart from our hotel for a visit to the elegant Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild on the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat peninsula. We then will begin our exploration of Nice in the vibrant Old Town, admiring the Baroque churches and markets including the famous Cours Saleya and the ornate Cathedrale Sainte-Reparate. Enjoy some free time strolling along the palm-lined Promenade des Anglais or climb Castle Hill to admire the sweeping views over the Baie des Anges.
Day 5 - Optional Monaco & Monte Carlo
Enjoy a day at leisure in Cannes or join an optional excursion to Monaco and glamorous Monte-Carlo. Monte Carlo is a playground for the rich and famous, home to the iconic Monte Carlo Casino, which has featured in numerous films, including several James Bond titles and Ocean’s Twelve. Many of the world’s wealthiest sports stars have homes in Monte Carlo and can occasionally be seen around Casino Square.
Day 6 - Saint-Paul de Vence and Grasse
Cannes - Saint-Paul de Vence - Grasse - Cannes. We depart our hotel for the medieval hilltop village of Saint-Paul de Vence, learning about its history from 14th-century fortifications to its role as an artists' haven. After admiring the panoramic views of the countryside and the Alps we set off to Grasse. Grasse is the perfume capital and we can learn more about their famous perfumes by visiting historic perfumeries like Galimard, Molinard and Fragonard, which are still crafting fragrances today.
Day 7 - Final day in Cannes
Spend today in Cannes at leisure, shopping for last-minute souvenirs or enjoying a coffee or a glass of wine at one of the many cafes and restaurants that line the Boulevard de la Croisette. Alternatively perhaps opt to take the train to Antibes and visit some museums, like the iconic Picasso Museum, housed in the ancient Château Grimaldi, where the artist lived and worked, or the Naval Museum of Napoleon.
Day 8 - Au Revoir!
Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before check out. We wish you a safe onwards journey!
