Day 2 - Amsterdam
Today we explore some truly picturesque Dutch scenes. We begin with a visit to Zaanse Schans, famous for its traditional houses, canals and iconic windmills. Next, we travel to Volendam, a charming fishing village known for its scenic waterfront. From Volendam, we take a short boat ride to Marken, once an island and now connected to the mainland by a dike. Marken’s houses were historically built on stilts to guard against flooding. In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Amsterdam, taking in highlights such as the classic windmill and Rembrandt statue, the modern architecture of the South District, and the legendary diamond cutting at Museum Square. The coach ride concludes near the city centre where we disembark for a walking tour. Afterwards, you have free time to explore Amsterdam’s famous canals, markets and cafés at your leisure.
Day 3 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We leave Amsterdam and travel into Germany, stopping first in Hamelin—a quaint town whose streets and shops evoke the Brothers Grimm fairy tale of the Pied Piper. After this visit, we continue towards Berlin, crossing the former border at Marienborn that once divided East and West Germany until reunification in 1990. We arrive in Berlin in the evening, ready to settle in for the night.
Day 4 - Berlin
We begin the day with a guided tour of Berlin, accompanied by a local expert. From the coach, you’ll see key sights including Museum Island, the Television Tower, the city centre’s main shopping streets, the remains of the old cathedral damaged during World War II, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and several expansive city parks. We’ll pause to visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum—significant landmarks reflecting Germany’s complex history. The afternoon is yours to explore Berlin at your leisure. Later, we’ll transfer you to the vibrant Kantstrasse area for the evening.
Day 5 - Berlin - Dresden - Prague
We travel through forested landscapes to Dresden, a city celebrated for its remarkable architecture and artistic heritage, making it one of Germany’s premier tourist destinations. You’ll have time to explore some of its impressive palaces and enjoy lunch at one of the many local restaurants or cafés. In the afternoon, we continue to the Czech Republic, arriving in Prague. We head to Old Town Square, a lively area bustling with activity—an ideal introduction to the city. You can dine at a wide selection of restaurants offering various international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian, before we return to the hotel for the evening.
Day 6 - Prague
Today, we explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. A local guide will take us on a panoramic tour of the city’s most remarkable landmarks, including a visit to Prague Castle, with admission included. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride along the Vltava River, also included. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to discover the city further at your own pace.
Day 7 - Prague
After breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey through these remarkable cities. You are free to continue exploring Prague at your own pace or begin your onward travel arrangements.
