Among the world's most beautiful, the Lofoten Islands feature dramatic winter light, turquoise waters, rugged peaks, and fjords. A haven for artists and travellers, they offer wild landscapes and a simple way of life, with surprisingly mild temperatures thanks to the Gulf Stream.
Depending on your arrival time in Svolvaer, you may have time to explore. Take a stroll through the harbour, visit local art galleries, or enjoy a cozy café.

What began as a vital postal route has since become a national institution, with 11 ships connecting 34 coastal stops year-round.
