Day 1 - Arrival in the Lofoten Islands

Once you arrive at Svolvaer Airport, you’ll be met and transferred to your rorbu, a traditional waterfront fisherman's cabin.

Among the world's most beautiful, the Lofoten Islands feature dramatic winter light, turquoise waters, rugged peaks, and fjords. A haven for artists and travellers, they offer wild landscapes and a simple way of life, with surprisingly mild temperatures thanks to the Gulf Stream.

Depending on your arrival time in Svolvaer, you may have time to explore. Take a stroll through the harbour, visit local art galleries, or enjoy a cozy café.

Overnight: Svolvaer

The Lofoten archipelago offers unique views, majestic nature, rugged mountains, pristine white beaches, and crystal-clear seas.

You will be exploring its old fishing villages, offering a journey through time and endless photo opportunities. You'll visit charming locations like Kabelvag, Henningsvaer, Laupstad, and Gimsoy before returning to the rorbu in Svolvaer.

Day 4 - Arrival in Tromso

Today, you will enjoy breakfast aboard the ship as you sail along the stunning coasts of Vesteralen and Senja toward Tromso. In 1893, Captain Richard With founded Hurtigruten, revolutionizing travel in Northern Norway. Previously, mail between Trondheim and Hammerfest took three weeks in summer and five months in winter. What began as a vital postal route has since become a national institution, with 11 ships connecting 34 coastal stops year-round.

In the afternoon, you will arrive in Tromso, where you will disembark and make your way to your accommodation. The rest of the day will be at your leisure.

Here, you will enjoy a husky safari taking you through the nature of the Arctic coast in a breathtaking setting, encircled by towering white mountains and expansive fjords. Along the way, you’ll have a good chance of spotting wild animals.

After about an hour of sledding, you'll return to the farm, where you can meet the puppies and make some four-legged friends. You will then indulge in a traditional Sami dish, known as bidos, followed by coffee and cake for dessert, served in a warm Sami tent (lavvo).
