Day 2 - Warsaw
We begin with a panoramic tour of Warsaw with a local guide, a political and economic hub where striking contemporary architecture meets carefully restored historic quarters. We stroll the atmospheric Old Town with its cobbled streets, the Royal Palace and townhouses rebuilt after the Second World War – now a UNESCO World Heritage Site – see the Palace of Culture, reflect on the history of what was once Europe’s largest Jewish ghetto, and wander through Lazienki Park by the Chopin Monument. The afternoon is free – you can visit museums such as the National Museum or the Warsaw Rising Museum, or explore the lively city centre.
Day 3 - Warsaw - Olsztyn - Elblag Canal - Malbork - Gdansk
After breakfast we travel north through Poland. In Olsztynek we visit the open air Museum of Folk Architecture (admission included) to admire traditional wooden houses, old mills and a church that evoke another era. We continue to the Elblag Canal to visit a museum in the area where boats are hauled over land on rails to overcome elevation changes. Then on to Malbork to tour its monumental castle (admission included – green route), one of Europe’s largest medieval fortresses, built by the Teutonic Order and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We reach Gdansk in the evening – the historic centre is lively and beautiful, and you might enjoy an evening stroll.
Day 4 - Gdansk - Sopot - Ferry Sopot Karlskrona
After breakfast we visit the European Solidarity Centre, a striking contemporary space telling the story of the Solidarity movement, including the monument to the fallen workers. We also include admission to the Museum of the Second World War, a powerful reminder of the 3–6 million people who lost their lives in Poland during that conflict. There is time to explore the historic centre before we continue to Sopot, a Baltic seaside resort with a long sandy beach and one of Europe’s longest wooden piers. In the evening we board a modern ferry for Sweden – scheduled departure at 07:30 p.m. – with overnight accommodation in cabins and breakfast included.
Day 5 - Ferry Sopot Karlskrona - Vastervik - Stockholm
After a smooth crossing we arrive in Karlskrona in southern Sweden around 06:30 a.m. We continue towards Stockholm, pausing in Vastervik, a charming seaside town with a picturesque historic centre, and reach the Swedish capital in the afternoon. Spread across fourteen Baltic islands linked by bridges and ferries, Stockholm blends rich history with contemporary flair. The afternoon is free – you can wander the historic centre or visit museums and parks.
Day 6 - Stockholm - Mora
With a local guide we tour this beautiful waterside capital of fourteen islands. We explore Gamla Stan – the Old Town, the City between the Bridges – where many monumental buildings stand, including the Nobel Museum by Stortorget, the Cathedral and the Royal Palace, and we take in the view from the Fjallgatan viewpoint. Free time follows. Around 16:00 we depart northwest through gentle hills, farmland, small towns and lakes, arriving in Mora in the evening – a small city between two lakes where Gustav I of Sweden gained local support in 1521 to fight the Danish occupation.
Day 7 - Mora - Funäsdalen - Roros - Trondheim
We set off early for Norway through vast forests, lakes and mountains. Our first pause is in Funasdalen, a noted ski resort, before continuing to Roros for lunch and time to explore this wonderfully preserved mining town – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – with its historic centre, old miners’ houses and a museum about the former foundry. We then continue to Trondheim on Norway’s central coast, the country’s third city with roots in the Viking era and a former medieval capital, famed for its cathedral dating from the 11th century and the iconic old bridge. In the evening you can sample the city’s vibrant dining and nightlife.
Day 8 - Trondheim - Kristiansund - Atlantic Road - Molde
After some time exploring central Trondheim, we continue along the Norwegian Sea with outstanding views of coast and fjords, crossing one fjord by ferry before reaching Kristiansund, a city spread over several islands linked by bridges and embankments, long associated with fishing and blessed with a charming centre of cobbled streets, shops, restaurants and cafés – an inviting place for a stroll and lunch. Later we visit the Kvernes Stave Church (admission included), a treasure dating to the 14th century that houses an extraordinary ship model around 300 years old and altarpieces dedicated to the Virgin Mary. We then follow the famous Atlantic Road – often considered Norway’s most beautiful ocean drive – crossing eight bridges between islands. We pause at a viewpoint before continuing to Molde for the evening, a vibrant town on its fjord and a regular docking point for cruise ships.
Day 9 - Molde - Geiranger - Briksdalsbreen - Loen
A day of breathtaking beauty with World Heritage fjords, glaciers and picturesque towns. We take a ferry of about 50 minutes across the Romsdal Fjord, climb into snowy mountains, then descend towards magnificent Storfjorden. Another ferry of about 30 minutes brings us to the Eagle Viewpoint over the Geiranger Fjord – one of Norway’s most spectacular vistas – before reaching Geiranger and its UNESCO World Heritage fjord. Free time – you can take a boat trip, stroll beside the waterfalls or relax in the village. After lunch we continue through superb mountain and fjord scenery to Briksdalsbreen, a breathtaking glacier in a glorious setting, with time to walk from the base to the glacier on foot or by optional electric vehicle. Dinner is included and we overnight in Loen by the fjord, where you can ride one of the world’s steepest cable cars from fjord level to over 1,000 metres.
Day 10 - Loen - Bergen
We depart early for Bergen, with just under 300 kilometres of magnificent scenery along fjords and over mountains, including a scenic ferry crossing. We arrive around lunchtime and ride up Floyen for sweeping views over the city. Afterwards the time is yours – explore Norway’s second city, wander Bryggen’s colourful wooden wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or visit the Aquarium and the bustling fish market with its small restaurants.
Day 11 - Bergen - Eidfjord - Voringfossen - Geilo - Oslo
We leave Bergen early and journey into the heart of Norway, crossing the impressive suspension bridge over the Hardanger Fjord. We stop in Eidfjord on the fjord’s edge, then visit Voringfossen, widely considered Norway’s most spectacular waterfall with a 182–metre drop, exploring viewpoints and bridges with superb vistas. We continue across stark high plateaus dotted with small lakes – frozen for much of the year – and snowfields to Geilo, a popular ski resort, for lunch. Afterwards we continue to Oslo, arriving in the evening – we recommend a stroll through the lively centre, the historic harbour and the rooftop of the modern Opera House.
Day 12 - Oslo - Oslo - Copenhagen Ferry
In the morning we enjoy a panoramic tour of Oslo, Europe’s green capital, surrounded by striking landscapes. With our local guide we pass the Royal Palace, stop in Frogner Park to admire its remarkable sculpture collection, and see the exterior of the Town Hall, the old port and the new Opera House. Free time follows for your own exploring – you might choose to visit one of the city’s popular museums. After lunch we board a modern night ferry – with cruise–style comforts – and sail to Denmark, spending the afternoon and night on board in cabins with breakfast included. Note: the ferry is scheduled to depart at 04:30 p.m. (boarding at 3:30 p.m.) and arrive in Copenhagen at 10:00 a.m.; schedules are subject to change.
Day 13 - Oslo - Copenhagen Ferry - Copenhagen
We arrive in Copenhagen in the morning and set off on a panoramic tour with a local guide. Renowned for quality of life, sustainability and culture, the Danish capital reveals its highlights on a combined coach and walking tour – the Little Mermaid, the colourful Nyhavn harbour, the exterior of Amalienborg Palace, City Hall Square and the Tivoli area. The afternoon is free.
Day 14 - Copenhagen - Rostock - Szczecin
After breakfast we head to Gedser, the southernmost point of Scandinavia. Around 11:00 a.m. we board a modern ferry to Germany for a crossing of about two hours on the Baltic – we recommend having lunch on board. We arrive in Rostock with time to explore this lively Baltic port, whose old town features the Market Square, City Hall and St Mary’s Church. You have free time to stroll and soak up the atmosphere.

We continue to Torun, a walled Gothic city with a stunning historic centre – a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the birthplace of Copernicus – where you have time to explore and, if you wish, visit his museum–house.
