Itinerary
Day 1 - Seville - Osuna
We meet you at Seville Airport or in the city centre, depending on your plans, and drive you to your hotel in Osuna – the journey takes about one hour. After checking in, you can enjoy a leisurely wander through the historic heart of town, starting along elegant Calle San Pedro – often considered one of Osuna’s most beautiful streets – and continuing towards Plaza Mayor to soak up its traditional Andalusian charm. If time allows, you may admire the exterior of the 16th–century University of Osuna before easing into the relaxed local atmosphere. For dinner (not included), you could opt for Matacandela for refined Andalusian cuisine, Taberna Jicales for authentic tapas in a lively setting, or Casa Curro – a long–established favourite in the centre known for classic regional dishes. Overnight in Osuna.
Day 2 - Osuna - Seville
After breakfast, we meet you at 09:30 at the parking area of El Coto de las Canteras – about a 15–minute walk from your accommodation – to begin a guided visit to this remarkable archaeological enclave, known as La Petra de Andalucía – a name attributed to Nobel Prize–winning writer Mario Vargas Llosa. This impressive quarry, on a private estate belonging to the Ramos Lobo family, was worked continuously from the 5th century BC by Iberian, Roman and Andalusi communities, each leaving visible traces. During the visit, we also see sculptural works created in 2004 by local artist Francisco Valdivia Gómez, including La Fuente del Lobo, El Relieve de la Vendimia and a large Iberian–inspired lion, all reflecting the site’s historical narrative. After exploring the quarry, we continue to the monumental quarter of Osuna to visit the Colegiata de Osuna, admired for its imposing baroque façade and valuable religious artworks. From there, we proceed to the nearby Monastery, then stroll through the historic streets of San Pedro and Sevilla before reaching Plaza Mayor. The itinerary also includes the exterior of the 16th–century University of Osuna, one of the town’s most emblematic buildings. Our guided tour concludes in the Colegiata area – a four–hour journey through Osuna’s historical and archaeological highlights. Afterwards, you can enjoy a well–deserved lunch (not included) in the town centre at a traditional restaurant – Mesón del Duque, Restaurante Guadalupe, Taberna Jicales or La Cantina Kulinaria are all excellent for authentic Andalusian cuisine. After lunch, we transfer you back to Seville city or directly to the airport, depending on your onward travel plans.
