Kick off in Montréal and wind up in San Francisco on a 13 day journey that blends French Canadian flair with classic West Coast scenery. You’ll explore Montréal and historic Québec City – think Château Frontenac, Montmorency Falls and the Laurentian Hills – then tour Ottawa’s Parliament and cruise the Thousand Islands. Expect Toronto neighbourhoods, time for the CN Tower and a thrilling boat ride at Niagara Falls. Then it is California time – Hollywood and Beverly Hills, Santa Monica Pier and Danish style Solvang, awe inspiring sequoias in Sequoia National Park and Yosemite’s cliffs and waterfalls. Finish with San Francisco’s cable cars, Painted Ladies and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Montreal
Welcome to Montréal. On arrival, we arrange your transfer to the hotel – the rest of the day is free for you to settle in or explore at your own pace. During the afternoon, we will share details about the start of the tour – you can also check the information boards in the hotel reception area.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Montreal - Quebec
After breakfast, we set out on a panoramic tour of Montréal. In the morning we visit Parc Mont Royal, St Joseph’s Oratory and the city’s cathedral. After lunch, we depart for Québec City, arriving later to check in at our hotel.
Day 3 - Quebec
After breakfast, we set off on a panoramic tour of Quebec City, taking in key sights – the Château Frontenac, Place Royale, Sainte Anne de Beaupré and the Citadelle. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your own pace – you might choose to visit Montmorency Falls.
Day 4 - Quebec - Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts - Mont-Tremblant - Ottawa
After breakfast we set off from Québec, travelling through the Laurentian Hills. We pause in the charming town of Sainte–Agathe–des–Monts and continue to Mont–Tremblant, renowned for its ski resort. From here we make our way to Ottawa – Canada’s capital – and arrive for our stay.
Day 5 - Ottawa - Thousand Islands - Toronto
After breakfast, we set out on a guided tour of Ottawa, taking in the Rideau Canal and the Parliament Buildings – and, in July and August, the Changing of the Guard. We then continue to Gananoque for a sightseeing cruise showcasing the river landscapes of the St Lawrence and the Thousand Islands. After disembarking, we travel south to Toronto, arriving at our hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 6 - Toronto
After breakfast, we set out on a guided city tour taking in Chinatown, City Hall, the Financial District, the Eaton Centre, Casa Loma and other key sights. The afternoon is free – you can visit the CN Tower, shop at the Eaton Centre or explore the underground city, a network of around 25 km of shopping gallerias beneath the Financial District. In the evening, you can head to Queens Quay – a lively waterfront area with plenty of restaurants. Overnight in Toronto.
Day 7 - Toronto - Niagara-on-the-Lake - Niagara Falls - Los Angeles
After breakfast, we leave Toronto for the charming town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, with time to wander its main street. We then continue to Niagara Falls, pausing at the Floral Clock for photos before we board the Hornblower Niagara Cruise to the base of the falls – an unforgettable way to feel the power of the water up close. Afterwards, you have free time to enjoy the attractions of Clifton Hill. We arrive at our hotel in Niagara Falls in the late afternoon.
Day 8 - Los Angeles
After breakfast, we take a panoramic tour of Los Angeles, covering the music centre, civic centre and financial centre via LA Live and the Staples Center. We then follow Wilshire Boulevard west, passing the Korean Quarter and the Brea Ditch to reach Beverly Hills, before continuing along Sunset Boulevard to Hollywood for the Walk of Fame, the Dolby Theatre, the Chinese Theatre and views of the Hollywood sign. You will have free time here to explore and have lunch at your own pace. Late in the afternoon, we include a transfer to Long Beach – where palm trees meet modern glass buildings – with time in Shoreline Village to stroll and dine at its lively restaurants opposite the Queen Mary transatlantic ship.
Day 9 - Los Angeles - Santa Monica - Solvang - Bakersfield
We leave Los Angeles and stop at the Santa Monica Pier – often seen in Hollywood films – before continuing to Solvang, a Danish style town in California. We then travel on to Bakersfield.
Day 10 - Bakersfield - Sequoia National Park - Fresno
After breakfast in Bakersfield, we leave the desert scenery behind and head into one of the United States’ most impressive forests, home to the giant sequoias. We visit Sequoia National Park and stop at the General Sherman Tree – the largest in the world – where you can take photos and enjoy a short stroll among these natural giants. We then continue to Fresno.
Day 11 - Fresno - Yosemite - San Francisco
After breakfast in Fresno, we set out for Yosemite National Park – a landscape of sheer cliffs, waterfalls and dramatic mountain scenery. We visit the park’s key sights, including El Capitan, Half Dome and its waterfalls. You will have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, we continue to San Francisco, arriving in the late afternoon.
Day 12 - San Francisco
After breakfast, we set out on a comprehensive city tour of San Francisco. We take in Union Square – with its historic cable cars – Chinatown, the Financial District, the Theatre District and the Civic Centre. At Alamo Square we pause to view the row of painted Victorian houses against the modern skyline. We continue through the Castro and up to Twin Peaks for sweeping views of the city and bay, then pass through the historic Haight Ashbury district and make a stop in Golden Gate Park. We end at the Golden Gate Bridge. The afternoon is free – you may join an optional excursion to Sausalito for impressive views of San Francisco and the bay. In the evening, we include a transfer to North Beach – Little Italy – the lively heart of the city’s nightlife, full of restaurants.
Day 13 - San Francisco
After breakfast, we conclude our services in San Francisco. You are free to make your onward travel arrangements or spend additional time in the city at your own pace.
