Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague. Upon arrival at the airport, we will transfer you to your hotel. Please check the information boards in the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide. In the evening, we will take you to Old Town Square, a vibrant area full of activity and a variety of dining options. You can enjoy dinner at one of the many restaurants offering international cuisines such as Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. After dinner, we will provide a transfer back to your hotel.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Prague
Today we explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our local guide will lead a panoramic tour, showcasing the city's most remarkable monuments. We'll visit Prague Castle, with admission included, allowing you to appreciate this historic fortress and its stunning architecture. Following the castle visit, we'll enjoy a boat ride on the Vltava River, taking in views of the city from the water. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to discover more of Prague at your own pace.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We'll depart early this morning and travel to Bavaria, Germany. We arrive in Munich around midday, where you'll have free time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue to Austria and reach Innsbruck, nestled in the heart of the Alps. Here, you'll have time to wander through the Old Town and the area surrounding the Golden Roof. In the evening, there will be an opportunity to dine in this charming alpine city before our overnight stay.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
We begin the day with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, renowned for its exquisite crystal creations. We'l explore the impressive gardens and discover the craftsmanship behind the sparkling pieces. Afterwards, enjoy some free time to wander before we depart for Zurich, taking in the scenic Tyrolean landscape en route. Upon arrival, you'll have the evening to explore Zurich's historic centre by the lake, where a variety of restaurants offer Indian, Oriental, Italian, international and Swiss cuisine.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today we travel through some of Switzerland's most stunning landscapes, with towering mountains and clear lakes. We'll begin in the Interlaken region, stopping first in Grindelwald for a coffee break before taking a cable car up the mountain. Once at the top, we'll follow a winding trail to a suspended bridge that crosses above spectacular glaciers - those feeling adventurous may choose to cross it for remarkable views. Lunch is included on the mountain before we descend. In the afternoon, we'll visit Lucerne, one of Switzerland's most picturesque cities, where you'll have time to explore the charming old town at your own pace. We then return to Zurich for the evening. You also have the option to join a full-day excursion, starting in the morning, which includes free time in Lucerne followed by a rotating cable car ascent to the summit of Mount Titlis. At over 3,000 metres, the alpine peak offers breathtaking views of the glaciers and surrounding Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We depart Zurich early, crossing the Alps into the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first stop is Bellinzona, known for its three medieval castles - UNESCO World Heritage Sites - that stand on the surrounding hills, reflecting the town's historical importance as an Alpine stronghold. You'll have some free time to explore the charming streets of the old town. Next, we enter Italy and visit Como for lunch. This lakeside town is renowned for its beautiful gardens and impressive cathedral, often called the jewel of Lombardy. Afterwards, we continue to Milan, where the guide will lead a visit to the striking Piazza del Duomo. You'll then have some time to wander before we transfer you to your hotel for the night.
Day 7 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
Today we travel from Milan to Pisa. Upon arrival, we take a short tourist train ride to the Piazza dei Miracoli - the Square of Miracles - where you'll have some time to admire this remarkable complex, including the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Later, we continue to Rome, arriving in the evening to prepare for the next stage of your journey.
Day 8 - Rome
This morning, we'll take a three-hour guided tour of Rome, beginning with a walking visit through Imperial Rome before continuing by bus to see key landmarks of this historic city. Highlights include the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant-Angelo. The tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where you can choose to join an optional visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later, we'll transfer to Trastevere, a vibrant neighbourhood known for its welcoming restaurants and lively atmosphere, where you can enjoy dinner. We'll return to the hotel at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Day 9 - Rome - Florence
Today we leave Rome and travel north through scenic countryside to Florence. Upon arrival, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo for superb panoramic views of the city. Then we walk down to the historic centre, where after some free time for lunch, we enjoy a guided tour with a local expert. We visit key landmarks including the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, experiencing why Florence is often described as an open-air museum. After the tour, you'll have free time to explore further at your own pace. In the evening, you can choose from a wide range of restaurants offering international cuisine in this vibrant district.
Day 10 - Florence - Venice
Today, we travel from Florence, crossing the Apennine mountains to reach Venice. Upon arrival, we'll take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to Venice's main island. With a local guide, we'll explore the magnificent St Mark's Square before visiting the Murano Glass Factory, where you'll see traditional glassmaking techniques in action. Afterwards, you'll have some free time to discover Venice at your own pace. Accommodation for the night will be in the Mestre district.
Day 11 - Venice - Innsbruck - Salzburg
We leave Venice and travel to Austria, arriving in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. You'll have time to stroll through the historic centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we continue along scenic mountain roads to Kitzbuhel, a picturesque village famed as a ski resort where snow covers the slopes for much of the year. There will be time to explore before we proceed to Salzburg, arriving by the end of the day. Please note that if the group is small, part of the journey from Venice to Innsbruck may be by train.
Day 12 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
Today we'll further explore Austria, beginning with Salzburg, the birthplace of Mozart. We'll tour the city's beautiful Renaissance and Baroque centre, set beneath the imposing fortress. Afterwards, we'll travel through scenic lakes and mountain landscapes to St Wolfgang, a well-known Austrian pilgrimage site. Next, we'll visit Traunkirchen on the shores of Lake Traunsee, where we'll take a included cruise to admire four castles before disembarking at Gmunden. We'll then continue to Vienna, arriving in the evening.
Day 13 - Vienna
Today we embark on a panoramic tour of Vienna with a local guide. We'll explore the city's grand avenues, stunning palaces, expansive parks and lively central districts, discovering the rich history and vibrant culture that define Austria's capital. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to explore at your own pace. In the evening, we include a transfer to the Grinzing district - a former wine-growing village now part of the city, famed for its traditional taverns. You're free to enjoy dinner here amid the authentic atmosphere before returning to the hotel.
Day 14 - Vienna - Budapest
We'll depart Vienna and travel for around three hours to reach Budapest, the vibrant capital of Hungary. Our first stop is Vuci utca, a bustling pedestrian street where you'll have some time to enjoy lunch at your leisure. Afterwards, we'll begin our discovery of the city with an included boat trip on the Danube River, offering outstanding views of historic Buda on one side and the lively Pest on the other. Following the cruise, we will take a panoramic tour of Budapest, often called the "Queen of the Danube", to see its most iconic landmarks. You'll then have free time to explore the city independently. In the evening, there is an optional outing to enjoy a traditional Magyar show, which includes dinner.
Day 15 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We depart early from Budapest and travel to Bratislava, Slovakia's capital, situated along the Danube with an attractive historic centre. You'll have some time to explore the city and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue to Prague, arriving in the evening.
Day 16 - Prague
After breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey.
