Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague. On arrival at the airport, we’ll transfer you to your hotel. Please check the information boards in the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide. This evening, we’ll take you to the lively Old Town Square, a bustling hub of activity. You’ll have the opportunity to dine at one of the many restaurants offering a range of international cuisines, including Czech, Chinese, Indian, and Italian. After dinner, we’ll return you to the hotel.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Prague
Today, we’ll explore Prague, a shining example of Baroque architecture. Our local guide will take us on a panoramic tour, showcasing the city’s most notable landmarks. We’ll visit Prague Castle, included in your trip, where you can admire its impressive history and architecture. Following the castle visit, we’ll enjoy a leisurely boat ride along the Vltava River, offering a unique view of the city. The afternoon is yours to discover Prague at your own pace.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We depart early and travel to Bavaria, Germany, arriving in Munich around midday. You’ll have free time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your own pace. In the afternoon, we continue into Austria and arrive in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol in the heart of the Alps. There will be time to explore the Old Town and the area around the Golden Roof, where you can also have dinner before we conclude the day’s activities.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Salzburg
Today, we visit the Swarovski Museum, renowned for its exquisite crystal creations. We’ll tour the museum and its impressive gardens, gaining insight into the craftsmanship behind these sparkling pieces. Following this, you’ll have free time to explore the historic centre of Innsbruck. Our journey continues along scenic mountain roads to Kitzbühel, a famous Tyrolean town known for its year-round snow and the legendary Hahnenkamm ski race, one of the world’s most prestigious alpine events. We’ll arrive in Salzburg by the end of the day.
Day 5 - Salzburg - Lake Traunsee - Vienna
We’ll spend the morning exploring Salzburg, Mozart’s birthplace, where the Renaissance and Baroque architecture is set beneath the imposing fortress. From there, we’ll travel through scenic lakes and mountains to the pilgrimage town of St Wolfgang. Next, we’ll arrive in Traunkirchen beside Lake Traunsee for a included boat cruise, during which we’ll see four castles along the shoreline before disembarking in Gmunden. We’ll then continue to Vienna, arriving in the evening.
Day 6 - Vienna
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of Vienna led by a local guide. We’ll explore the city’s grand avenues, stunning palaces, expansive parks, and vibrant central district, taking in key sights that showcase its imperial heritage. In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to discover the city at your own pace. In the evening, we include a transfer to Grinzing, a historic wine-growing district now part of Vienna known for its traditional taverns. You are free to enjoy dinner there, soaking up the authentic local atmosphere.
Day 7 - Vienna - Budapest
We’ll travel from Vienna to Budapest, taking around three hours. On arrival in Hungary’s capital, you’ll have free time for lunch in the bustling Váci utca, a popular pedestrian shopping street. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a boat trip on the Danube River, offering striking views of historic Buda on one side and the vibrant Pest on the other. Following the cruise, we’ll begin a panoramic tour of this city often called the “Queen of the Danube.” You will have some free time afterwards to explore independently. In the evening, there is an optional outing to a traditional Magyar show, including dinner.
Day 8 - Budapest - Bratislava - Prague
We depart Budapest early and travel to Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, set on the banks of the Danube. You’ll have time to explore the attractive historic centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue to Prague, arriving in the evening.
Day 9 - Prague
After breakfast, your tour concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey.
