Day 1 - Paris - Noyers-sur-Serein - Beaune - Dijon
Welcome to your tour! Our adventure begins as we leave Paris, setting off for the enchanting regions of eastern France. Our first destination is the picturesque Burgundy countryside, known for its rolling vineyards and charming villages. We will reach Noyers-sur-Serein, celebrated as one of France's most beautiful towns, where you'll have the chance to wander its narrow streets, admire stone and half-timbered houses, and savour the charm of the central square and historic walls.
Next, we travel to Beaune, often regarded as the wine capital of Burgundy. Here, you'll have time to enjoy lunch at your leisure and perhaps explore the famous Hospices of Beaune, a beautifully preserved 15th-century medieval hospital that once cared for the poor. Our journey continues to the regional capital, Dijon, renowned for its lively streets and stunning medieval and Renaissance architecture. The impressive Palace of the Dukes is among the notable sights you can discover. We will spend the night in Dijon, ready for more adventures tomorrow. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Its cobblestone streets and colourful houses evoke a setting straight from a fairy tale. Interestingly, it served as an inspiration for scenes from Beauty and the Beast. Here, we’ll take the opportunity to visit a historical winery and enjoy a tasting of local wine accompanied by a typical sweet treat. We arrive in Strasbourg in the evening, where we suggest a leisurely walk around the cathedral area and Petite France, both of which are rich in charm and offer a variety of cosy dining options.
