Day 1 - Paris
Welcome to Paris. Upon arrival, we’ll transfer you to your hotel, where you’ll have some free time to settle in and explore at your leisure. In the afternoon, we’ll provide an orientation about the tour’s start—either face to face or via information displayed at the hotel reception—to help you prepare for your journey ahead.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Paris
We begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, renowned for its stunning gardens and significant role in French history (entrance not included). On our return to Paris, we explore Montmartre, a charming bohemian district celebrated for its artistic heritage and vibrant cabaret scene. To complete our introduction to the city, we enjoy a panoramic tour led by a local guide, taking in Paris’s grand avenues and iconic landmarks. We then return to the hotel, with an optional evening variety show available for those who wish to attend.
Day 3 - Paris - Rouen
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we’ll ascend to the second floor (tickets included) for impressive city views. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a leisurely cruise along the Seine, taking in Paris from the water. The afternoon is yours to explore the city at your own pace. Around 4:00 p.m., we depart Paris and travel to Normandy, arriving in Rouen. Here, you’ll have free time to wander the historic centre, renowned for its medieval architecture, Roman origins, and striking Gothic cathedral. Please note, if wait times at the Eiffel Tower are long, we may reschedule the visit to another time or day for your convenience.
Day 4 - Rouen - English Channel - Canterbury - London
We’ll begin the day with a leisurely stroll through the historic centre of Rouen, taking in its medieval streets and notable architecture. Afterwards, we’ll travel towards northern France and board a ferry crossing the English Channel. On arrival in Canterbury, England’s religious heart, you’ll have time to explore its charming historic centre. Continuing on, we’ll reach London where you’ll enjoy some free time around the Tower Bridge area before we transfer to the hotel for the night.
Day 5 - London
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of London led by a local guide, highlighting the city’s rich culture and history. You’ll see iconic landmarks such as the Houses of Parliament, the River Thames, and Buckingham Palace, where you may have the opportunity to witness the Changing of the Guard, depending on the schedule. In the evening, we’ll meet at Piccadilly to enjoy a leisurely walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho—areas known for their vibrant atmosphere, theatres, and entertainment. You’ll have plenty of options to choose from for dinner before returning to the hotel.
Day 6 - London - Colchester - Colchester - Volendam Ferry
In the morning, we’ll explore the British Museum, one of the world’s oldest institutions, where you can discover artefacts from diverse cultures across the globe. Around lunchtime, we’ll head to Camden, known for its lively and eclectic street market, where you are free to browse unique stalls and enjoy lunch at one of the many small restaurants or food stands. At approximately 4:00 p.m., we’ll travel to Colchester, England’s oldest recorded town, taking a leisurely walk through its historic streets. From there, we continue to Harwich to board the ferry for an overnight crossing to the Netherlands, staying in en suite cabins. Please note that cabin availability is limited; if necessary, the itinerary may be adjusted to include a daytime ferry with an overnight stay in Antwerp or travel by train or flight to Amsterdam.
Day 7 - Colchester - Volendam Ferry - Volendam - Amsterdam
We arrive in the Netherlands at Hoek van Holland around 8:00 a.m. and begin the day with a visit to Volendam, a charming fishing village known for its traditional architecture and waterfront views. From there, we travel to Amsterdam for a guided tour highlighting key sights: the iconic windmill and Rembrandt statue, the modern elegance of the South District, and the historic diamond cutting industry at Museum Square. We conclude the tour on foot in the heart of Amsterdam, where it ends, leaving you free to explore the city at your leisure.
Day 8 - Amsterdam - Hamelin - Berlin
We leave Amsterdam and travel into Germany, stopping first in Hamelin—a charming town famous for its connection to the Brothers Grimm’s Pied Piper legend, where you can explore its quaint streets and shops. Continuing on, we pass through Marienborn, the former border crossing that divided East and West Germany until reunification in 1990. We arrive in Berlin by evening, ready for your next adventure.
Day 9 - Berlin
Today we explore Berlin, Germany’s dynamic capital, with a local guide. From the coach, you’ll take in key sights including Museum Island, the Television Tower, major shopping streets, the ruins of the old cathedral damaged in World War II, the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and the city’s expansive parks. We’ll pause to visit the Holocaust Memorial and the Berlin Wall Memorial Museum—two significant sites reflecting Germany’s recent history. The afternoon is yours to discover Berlin at your leisure. Early evening, we’ll transfer you to the vibrant Kantstrasse district, known for its lively atmosphere and diverse dining options.
Day 10 - Berlin
After breakfast, we conclude our journey in Berlin. You’ll have time to reflect on your experiences and prepare for your onward travel. We hope you leave with lasting memories of your trip.
