A Festive Adventure on the Rhine

Join us as we embark on a marvellous journey through the captivating city of Düsseldorf. Your adventure begins with the check-in process for the splendid MS River Diamond, commencing at 4:00 p.m. Should you arrive earlier, you're welcome to drop off your luggage at reception and spend some time discovering the city at your leisure, perhaps exploring Düsseldorf's enchanting Christmas markets. As evening settles, enjoy a welcome cocktail and a delightful dinner on board. Following the evening meal, our cruise sets sail, marking the start of an overnight journey. Note that throughout this cruise, fellow travellers may join or depart at various stages along the route, ensuring the group size remains consistent. Following a leisurely morning cruise, we arrive in the historic city of Koblenz around noon, with lunch served on board. Nestled where the Rhine and Moselle rivers meet, Koblenz is one of Germany's oldest cities, offering over two millennia of history. We dock near the famed Deutsches Eck, also known as the German Corner, which stands as a testament to the city's rich past. In the afternoon, you have free time to wander through the charming streets and explore the festive Christmas markets at your own pace. As you soak in the vibrant atmosphere, admire the blend of ancient architecture and lively culture that defines this beautiful city. In the evening, we set sail once more, continuing our journey overnight.

On the third day, you’ll awaken in Mainz, the birthplace of Johannes Gutenberg's invention, the movable-type printing press. As you stroll through the city's historic centre, you'll encounter the grand cathedral, over a thousand years old, which stands in charming contrast to Mainz's lively, modern atmosphere. Later in the afternoon, we continue our voyage, arriving in Rüdesheim. Here, you'll have the opportunity to explore this enchanting town at your leisure, absorbing its unique charm as we dock overnight.

This morning, we journey through one of Europe's most picturesque and storied regions: the Romantic Rhine. Spanning 65 kilometres, this stretch of the river is celebrated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its breathtaking scenery and rich historical significance, dotted with legends like that of the Loreley siren. By early afternoon, we will anchor in Cologne, one of Germany's quintessential cities. You are free to wander the historic old town, culminating at the city's crowning glory, the Cologne Cathedral, the Archbishop's seat. Post-dinner, we set sail for Düsseldorf, where we will cruise overnight.

On the final day of our journey, we disembark in Düsseldorf. After enjoying breakfast on board, we kindly ask all passengers to vacate their cabins by 9:00 a.m. For your convenience, you may leave your luggage at reception while you set off to explore Düsseldorf before your onward travel. Take this opportunity to discover the city's vibrant atmosphere, indulge in a bit of shopping, or relax in one of its many delightful cafés. With these memorable experiences, our services conclude.
