Itinerary
Day 1 - Frankfurt
Welcome to Frankfurt – we arrange your transfer to the hotel and you have free time to settle in. In the afternoon you receive practical information either in person or via the notice board at reception.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Frankfurt - Cruise on the Rhine - Cologne - Amsterdam
We cruise the most picturesque stretch of the Rhine between Rüdesheim and St Goar, then continue to Cologne, renowned for its immense Gothic cathedral. We cross into the Netherlands and reach Amsterdam in the evening.
Day 3 - Amsterdam
We discover the Holland of our dreams, beginning at Zaanse Schans with its traditional houses, canals and windmills, then continue to Volendam, a charming fishing village. From Volendam we take a short boat to Marken, once an island now linked to the mainland by a dike, where houses were traditionally built on stilts. In the afternoon we enjoy a guided tour of Amsterdam, taking in a classic windmill and the Rembrandt statue, the contemporary elegance of the South District and the centuries old craft of diamond cutting around Museum Square. The tour ends at Central Station – our guide shares tips and you can explore canals, street markets and cafés.
Day 4 - Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris
After breakfast we travel to Belgium – just over 200 km brings us to Brussels, a capital that blends elegance with multicultural energy. Before reaching the city centre we pause at the Atomium, then admire the Grand Place and pass the Manneken Pis. In the afternoon we continue into France, arriving in Paris at the end of the day.
Day 5 - Paris
We travel to the Palace of Versailles – admission not included – to admire its magnificent gardens and delve into French history. Back in Paris we visit Montmartre, the bohemian quarter of artists and cabarets, then enjoy a panoramic city tour with a local guide showcasing grand avenues and iconic monuments before we return to the hotel.
Day 6 - Paris
We begin in central Paris with a visit to the Eiffel Tower – tickets to the second floor are included – followed by a leisurely Seine cruise of about one hour and fifteen minutes. The afternoon is free for you to explore at your own pace – return to the hotel is on your own. If queues at the Eiffel Tower are too long, we may adjust the timing or move the visit to Sunday.
Day 7 - Paris
After breakfast our journey concludes, leaving you with wonderful memories.
