Imperial Danube Cruise (Intermediate Cabin)
New
Set sail on an eight day Danube journey that starts and ends in Passau – with easy access via Munich – blending grand capitals with vineyard clad valleys. You’ll drift through the UNESCO listed Wachau to pretty Dürnstein, then take in Vienna’s showpieces along the Ringstrasse and perhaps a classical concert. Budapest delivers thermal baths, the Danube promenade and stately Parliament, while Bratislava charms with its compact old town. Expect time to explore at your own pace, guided city tours, and relaxed afternoons on deck as the scenery rolls by. A call at Melk reveals its magnificent abbey before a final glide back to Passau.

A welcome cocktail and dinner are served, and we sail overnight.
Day 2 - Exploring the Wachau Valley
We wake to the scenic Wachau Valley as we cruise towards Dürnstein. After breakfast we navigate this picturesque 35 km stretch, arriving around midday. In the afternoon you have free time to discover the village – taste noted white wines and apricot liqueurs, browse the main street, or hike up to the castle ruins where Richard the Lionheart was once held. Before dinner we resume sailing and spend the night on board.
Day 3 - Exploring Vienna
After breakfast we enjoy a panoramic tour of Vienna, taking in the Ringstrasse, the famed Vienna State Opera, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Natural History Museum, the Hofburg (imperial winter residence), the Austrian Parliament, Vienna City Hall, the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK), the Votive Church and the National Theatre, among other highlights. After the tour you have free time before returning to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon you may continue exploring independently or opt to visit the Hofburg, stroll to the Opera House, or attend a classical concert. We depart at midnight and sail overnight.
Day 4 - Exploring Budapest
After lunch we enjoy a guided tour of Budapest, taking in the city’s key sights including Heroes’ Square, the Central Market Hall, the Synagogue, the Opera House and more. We remain overnight in Budapest.
Day 5 - Free Time in Budapest
A free morning in Budapest – you can relax in one of the celebrated thermal baths, visit the world’s second‑largest parliament, explore the Synagogue and Jewish Quarter in depth, or linger over coffee at the iconic New York Café. We resume sailing during lunch and continue overnight.

We arrive in Bratislava early and, after breakfast, set out on an included walking tour of Slovakia’s capital, exploring the historic centre – the Old Town Hall, Hlavné Námestie, the Ganymedova Fountain, the Slovak National Theatre and St Martin’s Cathedral, among others. You have a free afternoon in the city. We sail overnight.
Day 7 - Free Time in Melk
We reach Melk early – you have free time to visit its majestic abbey, said to have inspired Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose, celebrated as a Baroque masterpiece and famed for its library of manuscripts and Bibles. We return to the ship for dinner and sail overnight.
