Day 1 - Arrive in Munich, Make Your Way to Passau & Set Sail
Embarkation in Passau – dinner on board. Embarkation takes place in Passau – transfers from Munich, the recommended arrival airport, or from other locations are not included; please contact your travel agent if needed. We welcome you aboard MS VISTAMILLA in Passau. Check in opens at 4:00 pm – if you arrive earlier you may leave your luggage at reception and explore at leisure. We gather for a welcome cocktail and dinner, then sail overnight.
Day 2 - Wachau Valley
Cruise – full board included. We wake sailing into the scenic Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site of vineyards, castles and hilltop monasteries, bound for Dürnstein. After breakfast we glide along the 35 km stretch, arriving around midday. In the afternoon you have free time to taste celebrated white wines and apricot liqueurs, wander the main street or hike up to the castle ruins where Richard the Lionheart was once imprisoned. Before dinner we resume sailing and overnight on board.
Day 3 - Exploring Vienna
Cruise – full board included. After breakfast we enjoy a panoramic tour of Vienna, taking in the Ringstrasse, the Vienna State Opera, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Natural History Museum, Hofburg Palace – the imperial winter residence, the Austrian Parliament, City Hall, the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK), the Votive Church and the National Theatre, among other highlights. After the tour you have free time before returning to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon you can enjoy more free time or join an optional visit to Hofburg Palace, stroll to the Opera House or attend a classical concert. We depart at midnight and sail overnight.
Day 4 - Exploring Budapest
Cruise – full board included. In the afternoon, after lunch, we enjoy a guided tour of Budapest, exploring Heroes’ Square, the Central Market Hall, the Synagogue, the Opera House and more. Overnight in Budapest.
Day 5 - Free Time in Budapest
Cruise – full board included. You have a free morning in Budapest to relax in its famed thermal baths, visit the world’s second largest parliament, delve into the Synagogue and Jewish Quarter or linger over coffee at the iconic New York Café. We resume sailing during lunch and cruise overnight.
Day 6 - Exploring Bratislava
Cruise – full board included. We arrive in Bratislava early and, after breakfast, set out on an included walking tour of the historic centre, visiting the Old Town Hall, Hlavne Namestie Square, the Ganymedova Fountain, the Slovak National Theatre and St Martin’s Cathedral, among others. You have a free afternoon in the city. Overnight sailing.
Day 7 - Free Time in Melk
Cruise – full board included. Early this morning we arrive in Melk, where you have free time to visit its majestic abbey, inspiration for Umberto Eco’s The Name of the Rose, renowned as a Baroque masterpiece with a rich library of manuscripts and Bibles. We return to the ship for dinner and sail overnight.
Day 8 - Passau
Disembarkation in Passau – breakfast. After breakfast we disembark. Cabins must be vacated by 9:00 am – you may leave your luggage on board and relax in the common areas or head out to enjoy the city. Services end in Passau. If you require a transfer from the disembarkation point to your departure location, please request it through your travel agent.

'Single' prices are applicable to anyone wanting the privacy of their own room. 'Triple' prices are per person when there are 3 people on the same booking sharing a room. 'Shared' prices are for solo travellers who are happy to share with another solo traveller of the same sex in a twin room - a single room will be provided at no additional cost if there are no suitable travellers to share with.
