Itinerary
Day 1 - Athens - Athina
Upon arrival at Athens airport or Piraeus port, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel in Athens. After some time to rest, we will set off at around 14:00 for a scenic drive along the coastline. The route takes us past the beautiful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza, leading to Cape Sounio – the southernmost point of Attica. Here, you will see the striking white marble pillars of the Temple of Poseidon, overlooking the Saronic Gulf and nearby islands. You will have time to explore the rocky promontory at your own pace before we return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Athens.
Day 2 - Athens - Athina
After breakfast at the hotel, check out and leave your luggage at reception while you explore Athens with our expert guides. Begin at the Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896. Continue on foot past the Prime Minister’s residence—the former Royal Palace guarded by the colourful Evzones—and see key landmarks including the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, the Parliament building with the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and Constitution Square (Syntagma). On the Acropolis, visit the architectural highlights of Athens’ Golden Age: the Propylaea, Temple of Athena Nike, Erechtheion, and the Parthenon, renowned for its balance of form and spirit. Afterwards, explore the New Acropolis Museum to view classical treasures up close. In the afternoon, transfer to Athens airport or Piraeus port for your onward journey, arriving around 17:00. Please arrange your travel plans accordingly or consider booking an additional night in Athens if preferred (not included).
