Day 1 - Athens
On arrival at Athens Airport, we will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in an air-conditioned luxury car. Athens offers a selection of exceptional hotels, and your accommodation has been carefully chosen to ensure a comfortable and memorable one-night stay. In the afternoon, we drive along the scenic coastal road, passing the beautiful beaches of Glyfada, Vouliagmeni and Varkiza, before reaching Cape Sounio at the southern tip of Attica. Here, you will visit the striking white marble Temple of Poseidon, perched above the Saronic Gulf with views of the nearby islands. After exploring the temple, you will have some free time to stroll around the rocky promontory before we return to your hotel for the night.
Day 2 - Athens - Corinth - Epidaurus - Nauplion - Mycenae - Olympia
After a hearty breakfast, we travel along the coastal road to the Corinth Canal, pausing briefly to admire this impressive engineering feat. We then continue to the Theatre of Epidauros, renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Next, we visit the charming town of Nauplion, where you can capture some striking photographs. Our journey proceeds to Mycenae to explore the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon, key highlights of ancient Greek history. From there, we drive through the heart of the Peloponnese, passing the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis, before arriving in Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the hotel and settle in for an overnight stay.
Day 3 - Olympia - Delphi - Delphi
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we explore the Archaeological Site, including the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. Afterwards, we travel through the plains of Elis and Achaea, crossing the impressive bridge spanning the Corinthian Gulf from Rion to Antirion. We pass the charming towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea before arriving in Delphi, where a comfortable room and a delicious dinner await you. Overnight in Delphi.
Day 4 - Delphi - Kalabaka - Kalabaka
After breakfast, we visit the Archaeological Site and Museum in Delphi, exploring the rich history of this ancient sanctuary. Afterwards, we travel to Kalambaka, a small town nestled at the foot of the remarkable Meteora rock formations. You will stay overnight in Kalambaka, ready for the next day’s exploration.
Day 5 - Kalabaka - Athens
After a hearty breakfast, we explore the remarkable Meteora, where ancient monasteries sit atop towering rock formations, showcasing exceptional Byzantine art amid dramatic landscapes. Afterwards, we journey back to Athens, travelling through Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae. We pause briefly to view the Monument of Leonidas before arriving in Athens. Following your arrival, you will be transferred to the airport after 8pm to continue your onward travel.
