Day 1 - New Delhi - Delhi
Arrive in Delhi. On landing at Delhi airport, we will meet you and arrange your transfer to the hotel for a smooth start to your trip. Check in at the hotel – standard check in is from 2 pm, with early check in subject to availability. Settle into your room and take time to unwind after your flight.Depending on your arrival time, you can relax at the hotel or head out to explore the surrounding area at your own pace and get a first feel for India’s capital. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 - Delhi - Old Delhi - New Delhi
After breakfast, we set out on a guided exploration of Old and New Delhi, uncovering layers of history and architecture. In Old Delhi, we visit the Red Fort and the iconic Jama Masjid, then weave through the lanes of Chandni Chowk – a lively market of textiles, spices and street snacks. Moving into New Delhi, we pause at India Gate – the war memorial honouring Indian soldiers – and continue to Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage site dating from the 12th century. We round off the day at the Lotus Temple, a Bahá’í House of Worship known for its serene, lotus‑inspired design – a quiet moment amid the city’s bustle. Return to the hotel to relax. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Delhi - Agra
After breakfast we drive from Delhi to Agra (210 km – about 4 hours). On arrival we check in to the hotel and take a short break before heading out to explore. We visit the Taj Mahal – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – to appreciate its white marble detail and symmetry. We continue to Agra Fort, another UNESCO site, where the palaces and ramparts offer views towards the Taj. We round off at Itmad–ud–Daulah, often called the Baby Taj, noted for its delicate marble inlay and serene riverside setting. Later, you can browse Agra’s markets for handicrafts, marble artefacts and traditional sweets. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 - Agra - Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri
After breakfast we drive from Agra to Jaipur, covering around 250 kilometres. En route we visit Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its splendid Mughal architecture, exploring its palaces, mosques and courtyards. We continue to Abhaneri to see Chand Baori, among the largest and deepest stepwells in the world, noted for its remarkable geometric design. We then proceed to Jaipur – the Pink City – for the night. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 - Jaipur
Jaipur After breakfast, we set out on a full-day exploration of Jaipur’s royal heritage, starting at Amber Fort. We ride by Jeep to the fort and wander through its ornate palaces and courtyards, taking in sweeping views of the surrounding hills. Back in the city, we tour the City Palace complex – museums, courtyards and the Chandra Mahal, still home to Jaipur’s royal family – then continue to Jantar Mantar to see its remarkable astronomical instruments. We pause at the Hawa Mahal to admire its intricate lattice façade, an enduring landmark of the Pink City. In your free time, you can browse Jaipur’s markets – Johari Bazaar for fine jewellery, Tripolia for traditional textiles and handicrafts, and Bapu Bazaar for colourful Rajasthani souvenirs. We also visit Nahargarh Fort on the ridge above the city for panoramic views across Jaipur. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 - Jaipur - Ranthambore National Park
Jaipur to Ranthambore – 155 km – approx. 3 hrs. After a leisurely breakfast, we drive to Ranthambore National Park. On arrival, we check in at your wildlife resort and you can settle in. In the afternoon, we head into the park for a safari, keeping watch for Bengal tigers along with leopards, sloth bears, deer and a wide range of birdlife. We return to the resort in the evening, where you can unwind before dinner. Overnight at resort.
Day 7 - Ranthambore National Park
We begin the day with a morning safari in Ranthambore National Park, accompanied by expert naturalists and guides. As we traverse rugged tracks and forested zones, we look out for Bengal tigers, leopards, sloth bears and a variety of other wildlife. After the safari, we return to the resort for a hearty breakfast.The afternoon is free for you to relax and recharge – take it easy at the resort or simply enjoy the surroundings. Later, we venture back into the park for another safari, seeking more memorable wildlife encounters. We return to the resort in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8 - Orchha - Shivpuri
After breakfast we depart Ranthambore for Orchha – a journey of approximately 300 kilometres taking around six hours. En route we stop at Shivpuri to visit Madhav National Park, where we explore its diverse ecosystems with the chance to spot langurs, deer and a variety of birdlife. We then continue to Orchha, noted for its medieval architecture, historical monuments and serene atmosphere that speak to the region’s heritage. On arrival we check in at the hotel and you can relax ahead of tomorrow’s explorations. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 - Orchha - Panna National Park
After breakfast we explore Orchha’s highlights, beginning at the Orchha Fort complex – home to the Jahangir Mahal and Raj Mahal – where intricate frescoes, murals and carvings showcase the town’s royal heritage. We then visit the Chaturbhuj Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, noted for its soaring spires and refined architecture.Later we drive to Panna National Park – about 200 km and approximately 4 hours. On arrival we check in at the resort for an overnight stay.
Day 10 - Panna National Park - Khajuraho
Panna National Park – Khajuraho (35 km – around 1 hour) We begin with a morning jeep safari in Panna National Park, accompanied by experienced naturalists and guides. We traverse rugged tracks and riverbanks in search of tigers, leopards and sloth bears, alongside a variety of deer and prolific birdlife. After the safari, we return for a hearty breakfast.We then drive to Khajuraho, a short and scenic journey. On arrival, we transfer you to your resort and complete check-in. You can relax and settle in, ready to experience Khajuraho’s remarkable temples tomorrow. Overnight at resort.
Day 11 - Varanasi
After breakfast in Khajuraho, we delve into the Southern Group of temples – including Dulhadev, Chaturbhuj and Javari – admired for intricate carvings and refined craftsmanship. We then transfer to the airport for our flight to Varanasi, one of the world’s oldest living cities and a major Hindu pilgrimage site. On arrival, we transfer to the hotel and check in, with time to unwind. If you wish, you can explore the lively streets and markets nearby. In the evening, we visit the ghats to witness the Ganga Aarti – a ritual of lamps, chants and prayer on the banks of the Ganges.
Day 12 - Varanasi
Varanasi We start before dawn with a boat ride on the Ganges, watching the sunrise and the morning rituals along the ghats. Afterward, we explore Varanasi on a guided tour, beginning at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, a major shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. We then continue to Sarnath – where the Buddha delivered his first sermon – to see the Dhamek Stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar and the Archaeological Museum, which houses a notable collection of Buddhist artefacts and sculpture. In the afternoon, we weave through the old lanes, visit local temples and meet pilgrims and sadhus to gain insight into the city’s living traditions. We finish with a relaxed stroll along the ghats before returning to the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 - Varanasi - Delhi
After breakfast, you have free time in Varanasi to browse the markets, pick up traditional handicrafts or sample local dishes. Later, we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Delhi – where your journey began. On arrival, our representative will meet you and arrange your transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure – you can relax or take a final wander through Delhi’s neighbourhoods at your own pace, and if you wish to shop, Connaught Place, Janpath and Dilli Haat are good options.This evening, we come together for a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. After dinner, we transfer you to the airport for your late–night departure flight to your onward destination, concluding your Classical India and Tiger Safari.
