Kick off in Delhi and end in Delhi on this 10 day journey through India’s Golden Triangle and spiritual heartlands. You’ll explore Old and New Delhi – Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk by rickshaw and the grand avenues to Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb. Continue to Jaipur for Amber and Jaigarh forts, the City Palace and colourful bazaars – perhaps a film at Raj Mandir. Travel via Abhaneri’s stepwell and Fatehpur Sikri to Agra for sunrise at the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort. Then Gwalior and serene Orchha, the temples of Khajuraho with evening sound and light, before Varanasi’s ghats, dawn boat ride, Ganga Aarti and nearby Sarnath.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive in Delhi. On landing at Delhi International Airport, meet our representative for assistance and a private transfer to your hotel for check-in – standard check-in is from 12:00, and early check-in is subject to availability. Later, we explore Delhi, beginning in Old Delhi with the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and the Khari Baoli spice market, including a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk. We then continue to New Delhi to see Qutab Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and the Lotus Temple, as well as the President’s House, Parliament and India Gate. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 - Delhi to Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel, we complete any remaining Delhi sightseeing from Day 1, then drive about 265 kilometres – roughly five hours – to Jaipur and check in to the hotel. In the evening, you can explore the Pink City and its colourful bazaars at your own pace – and, if it appeals, wrap up the day with a Bollywood film at the opulent Rajmandir Cinema. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort & Jaipur Sightseeing
After breakfast, we visit Amber Fort and Jaigarh Fort – travelling up to Amber by Jeep. Later, we continue on a city tour taking in the City Palace, the Observatory, the Palace of Winds, Albert Hall Museum and Birla Temple. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Jaipur to Abhaneri, Fatehpur Sikri & Agra
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Jaipur to Agra – 245 kilometres, approximately 5 hours – visiting Abhaneri en route, a small village noted for its stepwells and temple. We also stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a 16th century ghost town. On arrival in Agra, we check in to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 - Sunrise at Taj Mahal, Gwalior Fort & Orchha
Agra – Orchha (220 kms – approx. 5 hours). We start at sunrise at the Taj Mahal, then return to the hotel for breakfast before visiting Agra Fort and the Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb. After sightseeing we drive to Orchha, pausing en route to visit Gwalior Fort, and continue to Orchha to check in at the hotel for the night.
Day 6 - Exploring Orchha & Journey to Khajuraho
Orchha – Khajuraho (178 km – approx. 4 hours). After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Orchha Fort, the town’s temples and the elegant chhatris. In the afternoon we drive to Khajuraho and check in at the hotel. In the evening we attend the light and sound show. Overnight in Khajuraho.
Day 7 - Temples of Khajuraho & Fly to Varanasi
Khajuraho – Varanasi (flight 9W–2424, 1405/1455 hrs). After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Khajuraho’s eastern, western and southern groups of temples, renowned for their remarkable erotic sculptures. Later, we transfer to the airport to board flight 9W–2424 to Varanasi, departing at 1405 and arriving at 1455. On arrival, we are met and transferred to the hotel. In the evening, we visit the ghats and temples and attend the Holy Ganga Aarti. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 - Exploring Varanasi
We begin at first light with a boat ride on the Ganges, drifting past the ghats to witness devotees bathing and offering prayers. Return to the hotel for breakfast, then continue on a city tour of Varanasi – we visit Banaras Hindu University, Ramnagar Fort and Palace, and several temples. In the afternoon we drive to Sarnath – one of Buddhism’s holiest sites – where the Buddha delivered his first sermon in 528 BC, and we visit its temples representing different Buddhist traditions. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - Varanasi at Leisure & Fly to Delhi
After breakfast, you have time to relax or explore Varanasi with your driver. Later – in line with your flight time – we transfer you to the airport for your flight to Delhi. On arrival, we meet you and drive to your hotel. The rest of the day is free – you can unwind at the hotel or explore the city with your driver. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10 - Delhi
Breakfast at the hotel. We arrange your transfer to Delhi airport in line with your flight schedule – ensuring you arrive in good time for your onward flight.
