Day 1 - Hubballi - Hubli - Hampi - Gadag - Lakkundi
On arrival at Hubli airport, our driver and guide meet you and will accompany you throughout your journey. We set out on the 140 kilometre – approximately 3 hours – drive to Hampi, travelling through the countryside of Karnataka. En route we stop at Gadag to see ancient temples with intricate stone carvings, then continue to Lakkundi to view further fine examples of historic architecture and craftsmanship. We proceed to Hampi – a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 - Hampi
Spend the day exploring Hampi’s UNESCO World Heritage ruins. We begin at Virupaksha Temple, then visit the Vijaya Vittala Temple to see its renowned musical pillars. We continue to the Lotus Mahal – known for its blend of Hindu and Islamic design – and the adjacent Elephant Stables. We explore the Royal Enclosure and the Queen’s Bath, important remnants of the Vijayanagara court. To round off the day, we climb Hemakuta Hill for panoramic views across the landscape of temples and granite boulders. You can then unwind or stroll Hampi’s streets at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Hampi - Hassan
We travel from Hampi to Hassan – 330 km, around 7 hours – through Karnataka’s countryside. En route, we visit Belur’s Chennakeshava Temple and Halebidu’s Hoysaleswara Temple to appreciate their intricate stone carvings and impressive architecture. On arrival in Hassan, you have time to unwind. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 - Hassan - Mysore
Hassan – Mysore (140 km – 3 hours approx). We drive to Mysore, a city known for its royal heritage and grand architecture. On arrival, we visit Mysore Palace, a landmark of Indo–Saracenic design and the former seat of the Wadiyar rulers. We then head up Chamundi Hills to the Chamundeshwari Temple for wide views over the city. Back in town, we explore Devaraja Market, a lively snapshot of daily life. We also visit Brindavan Gardens to see its fountain displays set among landscaped lawns. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 - Mysore - Bangalore
Mysore – Bangalore (145 km – around 3 hours) We drive to Bangalore and explore Bangalore Palace, a testament to the city’s royal past. We continue to Lalbagh Botanical Garden to enjoy its expansive grounds and diverse plant collections. We visit Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace – a fine example of Indo–Islamic architecture – before stopping at the Bull Temple, one of the city’s long-standing places of worship. In the evening, you can browse local markets at your own pace. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 - Bangalore - Karnataka
Enjoy your final hours in Bangalore, taking in the city’s lively pace and atmosphere. If time allows, you can revisit favourite spots or simply relax – the choice is yours. At the appropriate time, we transfer you to the airport for your departure, bringing your journey through Karnataka’s historic cities and landmarks to a close.
