Day 1 - Arrival in Catania

Once you have arrived in Catania, make your way to your hotel. Private transfers can be arranged upon request. The rest of the day will be at your leisure to grab dinner or relax. Private airport transfers can be arranged upon request.
Please note: This is a multi-lingual tour, and guiding will be in Italian and Spanish as well as English.
Day 2 - Syracuse, Ortigia & Baroque Noto

Catania - Syracuse - Noto - Ragusa. This morning, we begin with breakfast at the hotel before departing for Syracuse, a city renowned for its rich history and culture. Our first stop is the Archaeological Park of Neapolis, where we explore the impressive Greek Theatre, one of the largest and best preserved in the world. We continue to the Roman Amphitheatre, then walk through the Latomie of Paradise and visit the striking Ear of Dionysius.
We then head to the island of Ortigia, the historic heart of Syracuse. As we walk through Ortigia, we visit the Cathedral of Syracuse in Piazza Duomo, built on the remains of a Greek temple. We continue towards the port to see the Fountain of Arethusa. You will have free time for lunch.
In the afternoon, we transfer to Noto, a fine example of Sicilian Baroque. As we explore the old town, we admire its elegant eighteenth-century architecture. You will have free time to enjoy the city at your own pace.
Later, we transfer to Ragusa, where we will have dinner, before our overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3 - Baroque Towns & Roman Heritage
Ragusa - Modica - Piazza Armerina - Agrigento. This morning, we continue our journey to Ragusa Ibla, a stunning example of Sicilian Baroque architecture. Renowned for its abundance of churches—over fifty in total—the city also features the splendid Giardino Ibleo and exquisite baroque palaces. As we stroll through its cobbled streets, we'll immerse ourselves in the historic atmosphere. Fans of Italian television might recognise Ragusa Ibla as the setting for "Il Commissario Montalbano."
Next, we'll head to Modica, another baroque treasure. You'll have the chance to visit Sabadì, a famous chocolate shop celebrated internationally for its I.G.P. certified and Slow Food recognised chocolates. For lunch, we'll relax at Orti di San Giorgio, a tranquil spot perfect for a leisurely meal.
In the afternoon, we travel to Piazza Armerina to explore the magnificent Villa Romana del Casale. Known for its spectacular and well-preserved mosaics, this site offers an intriguing glimpse into Roman life with vivid depictions of hunting, mythology, and daily routines. Finally, we transfer to Agrigento, where we'll enjoy dinner and spend the night at a hotel.
Day 4 - Valley of the Temples & Marsala
Agrigento - Marsala - Palermo. Today, we continue to the Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most important archaeological sites in Sicily. Here, we explore the remarkable remains of ancient Akragas and view the Temple of Juno, the Temple of Concord and the Temple of Hercules, outstanding examples of Greek architecture.
We then travel to the charming town of Marsala, known for the landing of Garibaldi. As we walk through the historic centre, we admire its noble palaces and baroque monuments before enjoying a guided tour of the Florio Cellars.
Our wine experience begins in front of the vast nineteenth century vats, still used in the refinement of Marsala wine. We explore the atmospheric cellars and conclude with a wine tasting accompanied by a light lunch featuring wines produced by the company.
Later, we visit the scenic Salt Road, where we view the islands of Stagnone and the historic salt pans, among the oldest in the world and still active today.
We then transfer to Palermo for hotel accommodation. You will have time for dinner at your leisure before your overnight stay.
Day 5 - Monreale & Palermo

Palermo - Monreale - Palermo. We depart after breakfast at the hotel for Monreale, where we visit the magnificent Arab Norman Cathedral, renowned for its splendid Byzantine mosaics. We also visit the majestic Monreale Cloister, a remarkable example of medieval art and architecture.
We then continue to Palermo, set on a bay beneath Mount Pellegrino. A city shaped by many civilisations, Palermo reflects a blend of architectural styles across the centuries. Here, we visit the Cathedral of Palermo, where Gothic, Baroque, and Norman influences come together. We also visit the Martorana Church and the Cappella Palatina, admired for its striking golden mosaics.
We pause for a lunch break featuring local products before walking through the historic centre of Palermo. As we explore, we view the grand Teatro Massimo, one of the largest opera houses in Europe, and see the fountain in Pretoria Square, a Renaissance masterpiece at the heart of the city.
Day 6 - Cefalu & Catania

Palermo - Cefalù - Catania. After breakfast, we visit the charming seaside village of Cefalù, known for its impressive Norman Cathedral, whose majestic towers dominate the skyline. We explore the old town, wandering through its cobbled streets and enjoying its relaxed coastal atmosphere. You will have free time to continue exploring at your own pace, or opt to visit the renowned Mandralisca Museum, home to an important collection of art and archaeology.
We then pause for lunch in a local restaurant to enjoy the flavours of Sicilian cuisine before departing for Catania.
Our visit begins in the historic centre, distinguished by its late Baroque style and the use of dark lava stone from Mount Etna. We cross Duomo Square, the heart of the city, where we visit the Cathedral of Sant’Agata and view the famous Elephant of lava stone, the symbol of Catania. We continue towards University Square and walk along Via dei Crociferi, the centre of Baroque architecture in the city, where we visit the Monastery of San Benedetto, a grand and historic Baroque complex.
During our time in Catania, we enjoy a tasting of the traditional Sicilian granita served with brioche.
Day 7 - Mount Etna & Taormina

Catania - Taormina - Catania. This morning, we begin with a short visit to Catania’s historic and lively fish market, known as the pescheria.
We then depart for an excursion to Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe at 3,350 metres. Its striking lunar landscape offers a unique and memorable experience. Upon reaching Rifugio Sapienza, we visit the Crateri Silvestri, two craters inactive since 1888. During our time here, we taste artisanal honey and other local products.
Our journey continues to Taormina, celebrated for its natural beauty and historic charm. We enjoy lunch in a restaurant in the old town, sampling local specialities, before visiting the magnificent Greco-Roman Theatre, which offers sweeping views of the sea and Mount Etna.
You will then have free time to explore Taormina at your own pace, browse local craft shops or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Later, we return to Catania.
Day 8 - Flight to Naples

Catania - Naples. Today, you will have free time in Catania before our private transfer to the airport for our included flight to Naples
Upon arrival, we transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure for you to begin exploring this vibrant southern Italian city at your own pace. You may wish to stroll along the seafront promenade or discover one of Naples’ many traditional trattorias for dinner.
Day 9 - Pompeii & Sorrento

Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento - Naples. After breakfast, we depart for Pompeii, the ancient Roman city buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in AD 79. With our local guide, we explore the remarkably preserved ruins, walking through ancient streets lined with villas, baths and temples, offering a fascinating insight into daily life in Roman times.
We continue to Sorrento, perched dramatically above the Bay of Naples. You will have free time to explore its elegant streets, browse artisan shops or enjoy lunch at your leisure. Later, we return to Naples.
Day 10 - Discovering Capri

Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento. This morning, we transfer to the port and board a ferry to the enchanting island of Capri. On arrival, we explore this glamorous island known for its dramatic cliffs, turquoise waters and refined atmosphere. We board a traditional Gozzo Sorrentino for a scenic cruise around the island, enjoying a welcome drink on board and, weather permitting, the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear waters.
We visit the charming town of Anacapri before continuing to Capri town. You will have free time to stroll through the famous Piazzetta, admire the Faraglioni rock formations from panoramic viewpoints or enjoy lunch at your leisure. Optional boat excursions, including a visit to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting), may be available locally.
In the afternoon, we return to Naples by ferry.
Please note: In case of bad weather, the excursion could be replaced with a guided regular group tour of Capri by ferry. In this case, the visit to the island is guaranteed but the itinerary and the inclusions may undergo small variations
Day 11 - Sorrento to Positano & Amalfi

Sorrento - Positano - Amalfi. After breakfast, we set out along one of the most scenic coastal roads in the world, the Amalfi Coast. As we travel along this spectacular stretch of coastline, we enjoy breathtaking views of dramatic cliffs and pastel-coloured villages clinging to the hillsides.
We stop in Amalfi, where you will have time to explore the historic centre and admire the striking Cathedral of Sant’Andrea. There will be free time for lunch at your leisure.
We also visit Positano, renowned for its colourful houses cascading down towards the sea. We spend approximately two hours here. Take time to wander its narrow streets, browse local boutiques or simply soak up the views. Later, we return to Naples for our overnight stay.
Day 12 - Amalfi at Leisure

Today is free for you to discover Amalfi at your own pace. You may wish to visit nearby Ravello, renowned for its breathtaking gardens and sweeping coastal views, or explore one of the region’s traditional lemon groves to learn about the production of limoncello.
Alternatively, simply relax and soak up the coastal atmosphere in this picturesque setting.
Day 13 - Amalfi to Naples
Amalfi - Naples. After our final breakfast and hotel check-out, you will have some free time to pick up some souvenirs, explore or relax. At approximately 3:30pm, we will make our way back to Naples. You will then make your way to the airport for your onward flight. Safe travels!
