Itinerary
Day 1 - Florence
Welcome to Italy. Upon arrival at Florence Airport, you will be met by your driver in the arrivals hall and transferred to your hotel. Once settled, take some time to explore the city’s oldest streets, including a stroll along the Arno River and across the iconic Ponte Vecchio. Overnight in Florence.
Day 2 - Florence
After breakfast at the hotel, we will collect you to explore the city at the heart of the Italian Renaissance. You may choose between two excellent group tours, each offering a unique insight into Florence’s rich history and art—please note you can select only one option. The first option begins with a guided walk from My Tour Office on Via Martelli 33red, leading to the Accademia Gallery. Here, you will discover why Michelangelo’s David is Florence’s most iconic symbol and learn about the artist’s life and work. Following the gallery visit, you will have some free time to explore independently and enjoy lunch at your leisure. The second part of this option is a walking tour covering two thousand years of Florentine history, from its Roman roots to Renaissance masterpieces, including Brunelleschi’s Dome and the Baptistery’s ‘Gates of Paradise’. The second option starts in the early afternoon with the same comprehensive walking tour, followed by a visit to the Uffizi Gallery. Your guide will introduce you to works by Cimabue, Giotto, Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, Titian and others, explaining the techniques and stories behind these masterpieces. You are welcome to stay in the museum until closing time to further explore at your own pace. Overnight in Florence.
Day 3 - Florence - Pisa - Florence
After breakfast at the hotel, we travel to Pisa for a morning excursion. Pisa is renowned for its iconic Leaning Tower and the stunning Piazza dei Miracoli, considered one of the world’s most beautiful architectural ensembles. An authorised city guide will lead you through the interior of the Cathedral and show you the exterior of the Leaning Tower and the Monumental Cemetery. You will also learn about Pisa’s prestigious Scuola Normale Superiore, one of Europe’s leading higher education institutions. After the guided visit, you will have free time to explore the square at your own pace and capture plenty of photographs. This tour operates on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; if your schedule differs, we will arrange a suitable alternative. We return to Florence for the night.
Day 4 - Florence - Gaiole In Chianti - Greve in Chianti
After breakfast and check-out, we will meet you in the hotel lobby for the transfer to the Chianti region, renowned for its prestigious DOCG Chianti Classico wines. Travelling along the scenic Chiantigiana wine route, you will pass rolling hills dotted with vineyards and olive groves. Keep an eye out for the iconic Gallo Nero (black rooster) symbol, which marks the area’s wines and appears throughout the countryside and hilltop villages, including Greve in Chianti. During the day, we will stop in a typical Chianti village where you can explore at your leisure, browsing local gourmet shops and boutiques. You will then enjoy a wine tasting accompanied by a light lunch at a local winery. After a relaxing break, we will continue to another charming village in the region. At the end of the tour, your driver will take you to your hotel in Gaiole in Chianti for your overnight stay.
