Itinerary
Day 1 - Amman
On arrival at Amman International Airport, we meet and greet you before a smooth transfer into the city for hotel check–in – a relaxed beginning to your Jordan journey.
Day 2 - Amman - As Salt
We leave Amman on a scenic drive to the historic hilltop town of As–Salt, once a key trading hub and former capital. We wander its atmospheric lanes and follow the engaging Harmony Trail to discover the town’s intertwined Islamic and Christian heritage. We then continue to the Baptism Site at Bethany near the Jordan River, passing quiet farmlands en route. Here we explore archaeological remains of early churches, baptism pools and sacred places, including Tell Mar Elias and John the Baptist’s Church beside the peaceful riverbanks. We return to Amman – you can unwind after a day steeped in culture and faith.
Day 3 - Amman - Jerash
We head north to the ancient Roman city of Jerash, one of the region’s most impressive archaeological sites. We explore this remarkably preserved Greco–Roman city – crossing the grand oval Forum, pausing at the ornate Nymphaeum and admiring the lofty Temple of Artemis. We then drive back to Amman to visit the Citadel, with the Temple of Hercules, the Umayyad Palace and a Byzantine church, and enjoy sweeping views over downtown. We continue to the Roman Theatre – a 6,000–seat amphitheatre from the second–century AD that still hosts cultural events – before a street–food tasting tour downtown, sampling favourites such as falafel, sweet kunafa and refreshing sugar–cane juice. We round off at the Wild Jordan Centre – an eco–friendly hub supporting conservation and communities – relaxing with city panoramas and learning about its sustainable mission.
Day 4 - Amman - Petra - Madaba
We travel south from Amman along the storied King’s Highway, passing olive groves, deep wadis and rural villages en route to Petra. In Madaba we admire exquisite Byzantine mosaics and visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St George to see the famed Madaba Map, the oldest surviving cartographic depiction of the Holy Land. We continue to Mount Nebo for panoramic views towards the Jordan Valley and Jericho, and to see the site’s elegant mosaics and memorial church. Later we call at Shobak Castle, a dramatic 12th–century Crusader fortress with towers, gateways and hidden passages overlooking sweeping valleys. We arrive in Petra for an evening at leisure – you can browse the shops, relax in cafés or, if you wish, opt for Petra by Night for a magical first glimpse of the site.
Day 5 - Petra - Wadi Rum
We walk through Petra’s dramatic Siq, a sinuous sandstone chasm with ancient water channels and terracotta pipes – a spectacular approach to the Nabataean capital. We emerge at the world–famous Treasury, its intricate façade carved into rose–red cliffs, and delve into its design, significance and enduring legends. We continue through the heart of Petra to the Royal Tombs, the Roman amphitheatre and the colonnaded street – a striking blend of Nabataean artistry and Roman influence. If you’re up for a challenge, you can climb the stone staircase to the Monastery for sweeping desert views, and you can also hike to the High Place of Sacrifice for vistas over the valleys. We then travel south into the mesmerising landscapes of Wadi Rum. At your desert camp you have free time to relax – a peaceful evening framed by towering cliffs.
Day 6 - Wadi Rum - Dead Sea
We set out across the golden sands and beneath towering cliffs on a Wadi Rum jeep safari. We meet local Bedouins for an authentic cultural exchange – walking alongside shepherds, trying traditional crafts and sharing a freshly prepared meal in their desert camp. Later, we travel north to the shores of the Dead Sea – the lowest point on Earth – arriving at our resort for a relaxing evening by the water. The following day, we float effortlessly in the mineral–rich waters, try the restorative mud and capture the classic newspaper photo as we drift on the surface. You then have free time at the resort – relax by the shore, enjoy the hotel’s facilities or explore the tranquil surroundings at your own pace.
Day 7 - Dead Sea
Savour a leisurely day at your Dead Sea resort – perfect for unwinding at the end of your journey. You can relax by the shore, make the most of the hotel’s facilities or explore the calm surroundings as you wish. When it’s time to depart, we transfer you from your Dead Sea hotel to Queen Alia International Airport. We conclude the tour – farewell to Jordan.
