Day 2 - Marrakech to Dades Gorges

Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley. This morning, we depart from in front of our accommodation in Marrakech and begin our journey towards the south of Morocco. We travel through the High Atlas Mountains taking the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 metres, following a winding road through changing landscapes and traditional Berber villages.
Our first stop is in the village of Ait Barka at around 10:00, where we pause to take photographs, relax after the drive and enjoy breakfast if we wish. This marks the beginning of our journey through the High Atlas Mountains taking the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.
Our second stop is at the top of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass where we pause to take in the views. We then continue to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, we are joined by a local guide who explains the history of this remarkable site. You will then have around one hour of free time for lunch.
Afterwards, we continue via the Valley of Roses and the Skoura palm grove before reaching the Dades Valley and its gorges.
Tonight, we stay in a traditional Moroccan hotel located in the heart of the Dades Gorges in southern Morocco.
Day 3 - Dades Gorges to Merzouga Desert

Dades Valley - Tineghir - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga. Today, we depart from our hotel in the Dades Gorges at 08:00 after a typical Moroccan breakfast. We travel along the Road of 1,000 Kasbahs, passing through colourful Berber villages in the Dades Valley.
Around 45 km later, we reach Tineghir, known for its palm groves and Jewish quarter. We then continue to the Todra Gorges, where you will have free time to walk through the canyon, with rock walls rising to around 300 metres.
Afterwards, we continue towards the Erg Chebbi dunes in the Merzouga Sahara Desert. You will have free time for lunch along the way before we arrive in Erfoud.
Once we reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi, we take a camel ride of around 1 hour 30 minutes at sunset to reach our desert camp in the oasis. We spend the evening in the Merzouga Sahara dunes, staying in a bivouac under traditional nomadic tents or outside under the stars, and enjoying time with our camel drivers playing drums around the campfire.
Day 4 - Merzouga Desert to Fes

Merzouga - Erfoud - Errachidia - Midelt - Ifrane - Fes. We have an early start as we wake to admire the sunrise over the dunes of the Merzouga Desert, one of the most memorable moments of our time in the Sahara and a perfect opportunity to take photographs.
After a typical breakfast in our bivouac, we return by camel to our hostel where we have time to shower before continuing our journey towards Fes.
We travel through the Ziz Valley, passing Errachidia and Midelt, before reaching the Cedar Forest where we stop to see the famous wild monkeys. We then continue through the landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, arriving in Fes in the evening.
Day 5 - Exploring Fes

After breakfast, we discover the city of Fes, the spiritual and cultural heart of Morocco - vibrant, lively and full of character. We head into the old city, known as Fes el Bali, one of the most fascinating historic medinas in the world.
Medieval Fes was once a major centre of education and culture for both Islamic and Jewish communities. Its religious institutions, libraries and mosques have long been renowned.
We walk through the narrow streets and alleyways of the medina, passing donkeys carrying goods and exploring the different sections of the souk. Along the way, we see historic khans, medersas and traditional dye pits, as well as market stalls filled with fruits, herbs and spices. The sounds, colours and scents of the medina create a vivid atmosphere that reflects the city's long history.
During our visit, we see the Medersa el Attarine, the famous tanneries and the beautifully restored Fondouk Nejjarine, an 18th century inn.
In the late afternoon, we return to our hotel, where you may wish to spend the evening relaxing away from the lively atmosphere of the medina.
Day 6 - Fes to Chefchaouen

Fes - Chefchaouen. Early this morning, we depart Fes and travel through the Rif Mountains, enjoying views of the surrounding landscapes as we make our way north.
We continue through the mountains until we reach Chefchaouen, one of the most beautiful towns in the region, located at the foot of the Rif Mountains. The medina is known for its distinctive, blue-washed streets and buildings, as well as its Spanish-influenced architecture.
Day 7 - Chefchaouen to Rabat & Casablanca

Chefchaouen - Rabat - Casablanca. Today, we depart Chefchaouen and travel towards Rabat, the capital of Morocco. After a couple of hours driving, we arrive in the city where we visit the Hassan Tower.
We then continue our journey to Casablanca, where we visit the Hassan II Mosque, one of the most impressive mosques in Morocco.
