Itinerary
Day 1 - Kathmandu
We meet you on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport and arrange a smooth transfer to your hotel in Thamel. After check in, you can unwind or take a gentle stroll for a first taste of the lively streets. Later, we gather for a concise briefing with our local team – an introduction to the journey ahead and the cultural and natural highlights to come.
Day 2 - Kathmandu - Salleri
We depart the Kathmandu Valley by road, following rivers, terraced fields and hill villages on the long drive to Salleri – an early glimpse of rural Nepal with distant mountain views.
Day 3 - Salleri
We begin our trek from Salleri, winding through farmland and small hamlets before entering forested slopes – a steady ascent to the quiet mountain village of Taksingdo.
Day 4 - Taksingdo - Kharikhola
We continue from Taksingdo along trails through woodland, terraced fields and scattered homes – arriving in Kharikhola, a welcoming village surrounded by hills and fields.
Day 5 - Kharikhola - Paiya
We ascend steeply from Kharikhola through rhododendron forest, passing waterfalls on the way to the Kari La Pass – after savouring expansive mountain views, we descend to the small settlement of Paiya.
Day 6 - Phakding
We continue from Paiya through pine forest and along the Dudh Kosi River, crossing suspension bridges and passing Sherpa hamlets – arriving in Phakding, where we stay in a local trekking lodge.
Day 7 - Phakding - Namche Bazaar
We follow the valley into Sagarmatha National Park, then tackle the steady climb to Namche Bazaar – a demanding ascent rewarded with our first sweeping mountain panoramas.
Day 8 - Namche Bazaar
We spend a full day acclimatising in Namche Bazaar – a gentle pause to let our bodies adjust to the higher altitude. You can browse the shops, linger in cafés and wander to nearby viewpoints at your own pace.
Day 9 - Namche Bazaar - Thengboche
We descend through forest before tackling a demanding ascent towards Thengboche – on arrival, the monastery framed by a dramatic ring of peaks makes an unforgettable welcome.
Day 10 - Thengboche - Dingboche
We trek through woodland and Sherpa villages as the terrain grows ever more rugged – entering the Imja Valley and approaching Dingboche with towering peaks all around.
Day 11 - Dingboche
We use this essential acclimatisation day to rest and adjust to the altitude. You may choose an optional high–elevation walk, or simply take it easy – the surrounding views make even unhurried hours feel rewarding.
Day 12 - Dingboche - Lobuche
We make a gradual ascent up the valley to Dughla, then tackle the steady rise to the Thokla Pass – from here we follow the glacial moraine all the way to Lobuche.
Day 13 - Gorak Shep - Everest Base Camp
From Gorak Shep, we hike to Everest Base Camp and celebrate reaching this iconic landmark. You have time to take in the surroundings – capture the moment and soak up the atmosphere – before we return to Gorak Shep for the night.
Day 14 - Gorak Shep - Kala Patthar - Dughla
We set out before dawn to ascend Kala Patthar – arriving for sunrise with sweeping views of Everest and the surrounding peaks. We then descend through rugged mountain scenery towards Dughla for an overnight stay.
Day 15 - Dughla - Pangboche
We continue our descent as the air grows richer and breathing becomes easier – the landscape shifts dramatically along the way. We arrive in Pangboche, a peaceful Sherpa village surrounded by towering peaks.
Day 16 - Pangboche - Namche Bazaar
We descend towards Namche Bazaar, passing familiar viewpoints now seen from a fresh angle – back in town, you can savour the comforts again, from cafés to hot showers.
Day 17 - Namche Bazaar - Lukla
We make the long final trek back to Lukla, retracing forested trails and crossing suspension bridges once more – then celebrate the completion of our Everest Base Camp journey.
Day 18 - Lukla - Kathmandu
We fly back to Kathmandu, trading mountain stillness for the city’s bustle. The afternoon is yours to take at your own pace – you may choose to rest after the flight or explore the lively lanes of Thamel. This evening we meet for an informal briefing about the tour and the local area.
Day 19 - Kathmandu
After your flight, you have free time to rest or wander the lively lanes of Thamel. This evening we host an informal briefing on the tour and local area. On departure day we transfer you from your Kathmandu hotel to the airport – we assist with check in and you complete the departure formalities for your onward journey.
