Day 1 - Trondheim
Welcome to your journey as we arrive in the charming city of Trondheim. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you can settle in and enjoy some leisure time. In the afternoon, make sure to check the boards at the hotel reception for important details about the start of your adventure. Trondheim, known for its rich history and vibrant culture, offers a delightful setting to begin your exploration of Norway. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Trondheim - Kristiansund - Atlantic Road - Molde
On the second day of our journey, we'll begin by exploring the vibrant heart of Trondheim, enjoying the character and charm of this historic city. After soaking in the atmosphere, our adventure continues with a scenic drive showcasing mesmerising coastline and majestic fjords along the Norwegian Sea. We'll board a ferry to cross one of these stunning fjords and reach Kristiansund. Known for its lovely natural surroundings, Kristiansund is notable for its fishing heritage and unique layout across several interconnected islands. You'll have time to wander the cobblestone streets, browse the shops, and savour lunch in one of the inviting cafés or restaurants.Our journey then takes us through breathtaking landscapes to the Kvernes Stave Church, an exquisite 14th-century structure where you'll marvel at a 300-year-old ship model and altarpieces dedicated to the Virgin Mary, admission included. Our day will conclude with a drive along the renowned Atlantic Road – a marvel of engineering celebrated as one of Norway's most beautiful coastal routes. This stretch of road features eight bridges connecting various islands, offering dramatic sea views and the exhilarating spectacle of waves crashing against the coastline. We'll take a pause at a scenic viewpoint to fully appreciate the impressive vistas. By evening, we’ll arrive in the lively town of Molde, delightfully situated by its fjord and a popular stop for cruise ships.
Day 3 - Molde - Geiranger - Briksdalsbreen - Loen
Today promises an unforgettable journey through some of Norway's most stunning landscapes. We'll begin with a scenic ferry crossing of the Romsdal Fjord, a 50-minute voyage offering unparalleled views. Our path then takes us through snow-topped mountains, descending towards the magnificent Storfjorden for more awe-inspiring sights. A second ferry ride, lasting 30 minutes, provides breathtaking views of snow-clad peaks as we head to the Eagle Viewpoint. From here, you'll have a sweeping vista over the Geiranger Fjord, recognised as one of the world's most picturesque spots.Upon arrival in Geiranger, the surrounding fjord—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—thrives with natural beauty. You'll have free time to immerse yourself in the serenity of the area. Consider venturing on a boat tour of the fjord, wandering among the cascading waterfalls that pour into the village, or simply relaxing amidst the idyllic scenery. Post-lunch, we'll continue our exploration through dramatic mountain passes and glorious fjords, en route to Briksdalsbreen. This striking glacier, nestled within breathtaking natural surroundings, invites exploration. You can choose to hike from the base to the glacier's edge on foot or opt for a ride in an electric vehicle.Dinner is included, and we'll rest for the night in the charming town of Loen, located by the fjord. Here, for those interested, you can ascend one of the world’s steepest cable cars, which climbs from the fjord to over 1,000 meters above sea level, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Day 4 - Loen - Bergen
We depart Loen early, embarking on a picturesque journey towards Bergen, spanning almost 300 km of breathtaking landscapes. Our route winds along the edges of serene fjords and traverses majestic mountains, punctuated by a scenic ferry crossing. Upon our arrival around midday, we’ll take a cable car ride up Fløyen Mountain, offering panoramic vistas over the city of Bergen. In the afternoon, you have the freedom to explore this vibrant city, Norway’s second-largest, renowned for its rich history and stunning natural setting. Wander through Bryggen, the UNESCO-listed historic dock area, characterised by its vivid wooden buildings. If you fancy, you might also visit the renowned Bergen Aquarium or meander through the lively fish market, peppered with charming eateries showcasing local fare.
Day 5 - Bergen - Eidfjord - Voringfossen - Geilo - Oslo
Leaving Bergen early, we'll venture into the heart of Norway, beginning with a journey over the spectacular suspension bridge spanning the Hardanger Fjord – one of the country's most breathtaking fjords. Our first destination is Eidfjord, a delightful town nestled on the fjord's edge. From here, we'll continue to Vøringfossen, often hailed as Norway's most magnificent waterfall, with a staggering drop of 182 metres. We'll explore the viewpoints and bridges that present awe-inspiring views of the falls.Continuing through the remarkable landscapes of the cold, desolate high plateaus, characterised by small lakes and snowfields that remain frozen for much of the year, we will make our way to Geilo. This popular ski resort town is where we'll pause for lunch. After our break, we'll proceed towards Oslo, arriving in the evening. Once in the capital, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in its vibrant atmosphere – explore the bustling city centre, wander through the historic harbour, or ascend to the rooftop terrace of the modern Opera House for a unique perspective.
Day 6 - Oslo
This morning, we embark on a panoramic tour of Oslo, the capital city of Norway, renowned for its picturesque setting and distinction as one of Europe's greenest capitals. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, we will pass iconic landmarks including the Royal Palace. Our journey continues with a visit to Vigeland Park, famous for its remarkable sculpture collection, followed by views of the exterior of the Town Hall, the historic old port, and the contemporary Opera House. After the guided tour, we invite you to explore Oslo further on your own. You might choose to delve into its rich cultural offerings at a local museum, such as the esteemed Munch Museum. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at your leisure.

After breakfast, our journey concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of your experiences.
