What should I wear in Saudi Arabia?
Modest loose-fitting clothing is customary in Saudi Arabia. Clothes should cover your arms, chest and legs in public, and women should cover their hair when visiting religious sites. If you are unsure of what to wear you can always ask your guide what would be considered appropriate attire.
Is alcohol allowed in Saudi Arabia?
No, Alcohol is not allowed in Saudi Arabia. It is illegal to buy, sell, import or consume alcohol in the country and these rules apply to both citizens and tourists. Instead, there is a strong café culture in Saudi Arabia with many speciality coffees to choose from.
Can non-Muslims visit Medina?
Yes, non-Muslims can visit parts of Medina. Whilst only Muslims are permitted to enter the Prophets Mosque non-Muslims can visit the surrounding courtyards, markets and historical parts of the city.

The main thing to keep in mind is to respect the local laws and customs. This includes, no alcohol, dressing modestly, avoiding public displays of affection, respecting religious sites and practices and asking for permission before photographing people.

Is WiFi readily available?
Yes, WiFi is widely available in many hotels, restaurants, cafes, mall and public spaces throughout Saudi Arabia. Though outside of these locations it may be hard to find which is why getting a local SIM card of eSIM is recommended if you want reliable internet access outside of main areas.
What plugs are used in Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Arabia uses Type G plugs, Type A, B and C may also be used but they are less common. Be sure to pack a universal adapter is recommended if your home country does not use the three-pronged G type plug.
