Day 1 - Arrival in Barcelona
Once you have arrived in Barcelona, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your accommodation, giving you time to settle in before the tour begins.
This evening, our tour leader brings the group together for a Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant, a delightful opportunity to get to know your fellow travellers over good food and wine.
Day 2 - Exploring Barcelona

This morning, a local guide leads us on a sightseeing tour of Barcelona, driving along its elegant avenues to admire Antoni Gaudi's iconic Modernist masterpieces, including La Pedrera and Casa Batllo, before continuing to Montjuic Hill for panoramic views over the city and harbour, taking in the Olympic Ring, the Columbus Monument and the lively waterfront.
As we explore, our highlight is a visit to the magnificent Sagrada Familia, Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece and Barcelona's most iconic landmark.
The afternoon is free for you to keep exploring Barcelona, perhaps strolling through the Gothic Quarter, browsing the boutiques along Passeig de Gracia, or relaxing by the Mediterranean.
Day 3 - Zaragoza, Pamplona & Bilbao

Barcelona - Zaragoza - Pamplona - Bilbao. Today, we travel southwest through one of Spain's most important industrial and agricultural regions, arriving in Zaragoza, capital of Aragon, set on the banks of the mighty Ebro River. You have some free time here to admire the magnificent Baroque Basilica of Nuestra Senora del Pilar, one of Spain's most important pilgrimage sites.
We continue to Pamplona, founded in Roman times and world famous for the San Fermin festival, and take a stroll through its charming medieval old quarter, taking in its impressive Gothic Cathedral.
From here, we continue on to Bilbao.
Day 4 - Bilbao & San Sebastian

Bilbao - San Sebastian - Bilbao. After breakfast, a local guide leads a panoramic city tour of Bilbao, showcasing its remarkable transformation into a hub of modern architecture and culture, with some free time around the iconic Guggenheim Museum to admire its striking titanium-clad design.
In the afternoon, we continue to San Sebastian, one of Spain's most elegant seaside resorts and host of the prestigious International Film Festival, taking in the spectacular La Concha Bay, its beautiful beach and Belle Epoque architecture on a panoramic tour, before continuing to Mount Igueldo for sweeping views over the city. You then have some free time to wander the promenade or relax by the beach.
Back in Bilbao this evening, we come together for a traditional dinner featuring the region's famous pintxos.
Day 5 - Bilbao to Santander
Bilbao - Castro Urdiales - Santander. After breakfast, we travel west along the scenic coastline of Green Spain, stopping in Castro Urdiales, a charming fishing town with a picturesque medieval harbour and the striking Gothic Church of Santa Maria overlooking the Bay of Biscay.
We continue to Santander, the elegant capital of Cantabria, beautifully set around one of the world's finest natural bays. Once the favourite summer retreat of the Spanish Royal Family, the city combines stately architecture, seaside promenades and the renowned El Sardinero Beach. You then have some free time to soak up the relaxed atmosphere of this refined coastal destination.
Day 6 - Covadonga and Oviedo

Santander - Santillana Del Mar - Covadonga - Oviedo. We depart for Santillana del Mar, one of Spain's finest medieval villages, its cobbled streets preserving an exceptional historical heritage, and take in the surroundings of the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana, a masterpiece of Romanesque architecture.
We continue to Covadonga, spiritual heart of Asturias, where you have some free time to visit the Sanctuary and the Holy Cave, home to the revered image of Our Lady of Covadonga.
In the afternoon, we travel to Oviedo, passing the magnificent Church of Santa Maria del Naranco, a jewel of Asturian pre-Romanesque architecture. You then have some free time to discover the city's pedestrian streets and its impressive Gothic Cathedral, part of the UNESCO World Heritage.
Day 7 - Lugo and Santiago de Compostela
Oviedo - Mondonedo - Lugo - Santiago de Compostela. This morning, we journey into the lush landscapes of Galicia, stopping en route in the charming episcopal town of Mondonedo, one of the oldest cities in the region. You have some free time here to admire its magnificent 13th century Cathedral, stroll its peaceful squares and sample the famous local almond cake, a traditional Galician delicacy.
We continue to Lugo, the only city in the world entirely encircled by perfectly preserved Roman walls and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, exploring its historic centre, where Roman remains blend harmoniously with medieval streets, elegant squares and the impressive Cathedral of Saint Mary.
From here, we continue to Santiago de Compostela, the spiritual heart of Galicia and the legendary destination of the Camino de Santiago.
Day 8 - Discovering Santiago de Compostela

Today, a local guide leads a tour of Santiago de Compostela, one of Christianity's most important pilgrimage destinations and the final stage of the legendary Camino de Santiago, visiting the Cathedral (entrance included), an outstanding masterpiece of Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque architecture, traditionally believed to house the remains of Saint James the Apostle.
The rest of the day is free for you to wander the city's charming old quarter, where granite streets, elegant arcades and lively squares lead to the magnificent Obradoiro Square.
Day 9 - Santiago de Compostela to Madrid

Santiago de Compostela - Madrid. After breakfast, we transfer to the railway station to board the high-speed train to Madrid, settling in for a comfortable journey across the diverse landscapes of northern and central Spain before arriving in the country's dynamic capital, where we transfer to our accommodation.
Day 10 - Departure from Madrid
After a final breakfast, you will be transferred to Madrid Airport in time for your departure flight.
