Day 1 - Madrid
Upon arrival at Madrid airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Once settled in, you have the remainder of the day at your leisure to explore Madrid’s vibrant streets at your own pace. Overnight in Madrid.
Day 2 - Madrid
After breakfast, we meet your guide for a panoramic tour of Madrid. Discover the city’s medieval roots in the Barrio de la Morería, known for its historic buildings and former Arabic fortress. We then drive through the Hapsburg district, shaped by Philip II, featuring Renaissance and Baroque architecture, including Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa. Next, explore the Madrid of the Bourbons with its grand town planning under Charles III, passing the Royal Palace, Cibeles and Neptuno fountains, and Puerta de Alcalá. Admire 19th-century landmarks such as the Prado Museum before moving on to modern Madrid, including Gran Vía, Castellana, the Salamanca district, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste. We also pass key commercial and financial areas, the iconic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. The afternoon and lunch are at your leisure to continue exploring the city’s many attractions. Overnight in Madrid.
Day 3 - Madrid - Cordoba - Seville - Seville
After breakfast, we travel through La Mancha, the land of Don Quixote, before crossing the natural border of Despeñaperros into Andalusia, a region rich in cultural heritage. We arrive in Córdoba, once the capital of the Moorish Caliphate of Al-Andalus at its peak. Together with the guide, we visit the impressive Great Mosque, now a Catholic cathedral, and explore the atmospheric Jewish quarter. In the afternoon, we continue with a two-hour drive to Seville, where we spend the night.
Day 4 - Seville - Seville
After breakfast, we explore Seville, the vibrant capital of Andalusia renowned for its authentic Spanish character and striking architecture. Our panoramic tour includes a photo stop at the enchanting María Luisa Park, home to two impressive squares. We visit Plaza de España, famous for its ornate tiles, redbrick towers, bridges and canals, followed by Plaza de América, surrounded by stunning neo-Gothic and neo-Mudéjar palaces. We then enjoy a guided tour of Seville Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring the iconic Giralda bell tower. Finally, we wander through the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the city’s charming old quarter with its maze of whitewashed alleys, arches and courtyards, rich in history. Overnight in Seville.
Day 5 - Seville - Granada
After breakfast, we depart for Granada, travelling east along the historic route of the Caliphate through a landscape dominated by endless olive groves. Upon arrival, we visit the Alhambra Complex, the former seat of the last Moorish emirs in Spain. Perched atop Sabika Hill, this ‘pearl set in emeralds’ has stood for over a thousand years, reaching its splendour during the Nasrid dynasty, which transformed the original fortress into the magnificent palace you see today. You will have free time for lunch and the rest of the day to explore Granada at your leisure. Overnight in Granada.
Day 6 - Granada
After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Granada at your own pace. Beyond the Alhambra, the city’s rich Muslim heritage blends seamlessly with Christian influences, creating a unique atmosphere reflected throughout its streets and neighbourhoods. Overnight in Granada.
Day 7 - Granada - Madrid
After breakfast, we travel north to the historic city of Toledo, perched above the Tagus River. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its rich blend of Christian, Moorish and Jewish cultures, reflected throughout its streets and monuments. We take a guided tour through the narrow lanes of the old town, exploring its key landmarks and absorbing its unique atmosphere. Afterwards, we continue on to Madrid for your overnight stay.
Day 8 - Madrid
After breakfast, we transfer you to Madrid Airport for your departure flight, concluding your journey.
