Sad we didn't get to experience the hot air balloon (unsuitable weather). You should ty to leave 2 mornings clear in the schedule for balloons in Cappadocia. Ephesus was amazing. Every tour taking us to shops/factories for 'information/demonstrations' when we know it was so we could be pressured to buy. The Antea hotel in Istanbul and the Seaport in Kusadasi were pretty poor quality.

We especially enjoyed the second day of our tour when we visited the Goreme Open Air park and had a chance to walk inside the ancient churches & the caves. Having to visit “workshops “ and “ factories “ - I understand the reasons and it s good to support the local craftsmen but it took away the time from the tour. High entry fees in Istanbul - not to do with the tour as such but a consideration for visitors to be aware of.
