Sossusvlei Region Exploration

Upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport, we meet you and transfer you by road south into the Namib Desert – travelling via Mariental, Maltahöhe and Sesriem – reaching your lodge in the Namib Naukluft Park region by early afternoon. Settle in and take in the desert views before we head to a mountain viewpoint for sundowner drinks as the sun sets over the desert. This evening we serve a private dinner in a beautiful setting, after which you can stargaze from the balcony of your raised chalet. Overnight in Sossusvlei.

Before dawn we gather for coffee or tea, then we set off into Sossusvlei to watch the light spill across the dunes. We explore the sands and dunes in the cool of early morning – you can climb one of the world’s highest sand dunes if you wish.Later we return towards the Namib–Naukluft Park entrance to visit Sesriem Canyon. You can descend into the canyon to explore – after rainfall there are often cool pools along the way. We arrive back at the lodge in the early afternoon. Overnight in Sossusvlei.

Spend the morning at leisure – you can relax by the pool or choose a shaded deck with views across the desert plains. In the afternoon we head out on a nature drive to observe the resilient wildlife that thrives in these arid conditions, before returning to the lodge to enjoy a final Namibian sunset. After a final night beneath Namibia’s starry skies, we start the day with breakfast before we transfer you back to Windhoek – either the city centre or Hosea Kutako International Airport – bringing your desert stay to a close.
