Itinerary
Day 1 - Welcome to Brisbane

Once you have arrived in Brisbane, you make your own way to your accommodation in the city centre, where the rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish.
Perhaps take a stroll through the City Botanic Gardens, or explore the parklands and eateries of South Bank ahead of tomorrow's river cruise.
Day 2 - Brisbane River Cruise & Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

This morning, you make your way to the pontoon on the riverside boardwalk outside the Gallery of Modern Art in South Bank.
Your cruise carries you away from the city's skyscrapers and along the Brisbane River, passing leafy suburbs and waterside mansions as your captain provides commentary along the way. The journey takes around 1 hour and 15 minutes, arriving at Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary at around 10:15 am.
Lone Pine first opened in 1927 as a refuge for sick, injured and orphaned koalas, at a time when the species was being culled for the fur trade, and today remains a place to see native Australian wildlife up close.
You have 3 hours to explore, with the chance to see koalas, kangaroos and platypus, alongside a sheepdog show demonstrating how the dogs round up a flock of sheep, and a birds of prey display featuring owls, kites and sea eagles. Wild lorikeets fly in twice daily for feeding, and the sanctuary is also home to other bird species and Eastern Water Dragons growing up to 90 cm long.
Boarding for the return cruise begins at 12:45 pm, with departure at 1:30 pm and arrival back in the city at 2:45 pm. The onboard cafe/bar offers drinks and a chessboard to while away the journey home, along with music, before you disembark back in Brisbane.
Please note: This activity has a maximum of 9 participants per booking.
Please note: Koala Moments (touch a koala) can be booked separately online at an additional cost.
Please note: The river cruise is wheelchair accessible; Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary involves 28 steps from the jetty to the entrance.
Day 3 - Moreton Island Day Pass

Today, you have a day pass to Moreton Island, one of the world's largest sand islands, for a day of adventure by the coast.
Highlights include snorkelling over the Tangalooma Wrecks, a cluster of sunken vessels that now shelter abundant marine life, along with sand tobogganing down the island's dunes and paddling in the clear waters surrounding the island.
Day 4 - Goodbye Brisbane

This morning, you check out of your accommodation, bringing your short break in Brisbane to a close.
