Day 1 - Welcome to Medellín
Welcome to Medellín. On arrival at José María Córdova or Olaya Herrera Airport, we’ll meet you for a private transfer to your hotel, with an English–speaking guide sharing recommendations to help you make the most of your visit.
Known as the city of eternal spring, Medellín is celebrated for its warm climate, dramatic mountain backdrop, lush trees and vibrant flowers. Settle into El Cielo Hotel or similar.
Day 2 - Discovering Medellín’s transformation

Experience Medellín’s transformation on a full‑day guided tour. We begin in Manrique at the striking Constellations mural – the largest in the city – then continue to Plaza Botero in Berrio Park to admire 23 bronze sculptures by Fernando Botero.
We meet the Las Berracas de la 13 social project, which champions economic and social empowerment for women affected by conflict, joining a traditional cooking demonstration followed by lunch. In Distrito 13, we explore how graffiti, breakdance and local culture express social change.
We round off the day with a speciality coffee at Pergamino. In the evening, you can discover El Poblado’s vibrant dining scene and nightlife. El Cielo Hotel or similar.
Day 3 - Guatapé and el peñol adventure

We travel to Guatapé and El Peñol for a day of colour and views. We begin at the Rock of Guatapé – an immense granitic monolith formed millions of years ago and revered by the region’s Tahamies – and ascend to the summit for sweeping panoramas of the Peñol Reservoir, its winding inlets set against lush green hills.
We then explore Guatapé, known for its vibrant church and brightly painted streets. On a guided walk, we uncover the stories behind the town’s zócalos – bas–relief depictions of people, animals and geometric designs that line traditional houses. We pause for a traditional Colombian lunch by the water, followed by a relaxed boat ride on the lake.
You have free time to wander and unwind at your own pace in this picturesque setting.
Day 4 - Colombia’s coffee region

After a private transfer to José María Córdova International Airport, we fly to the Coffee Region. On arrival, we continue by private transfer to your hotel, with an English–speaking guide offering practical tips to help you make the most of your stay.
We then visit El Paraíso Coffee Farm, set in the mountains among bamboo, where the Valencia family’s story reflects resilience and a deep passion for coffee. We follow the journey from seedling to cup, take part in a guided tasting to appreciate the range of Colombian coffee, and savour regional dishes to round off the experience.

Day 5 - Cocora valley and coffee towns
We set out for the Cocora Valley near Salento, famed for its soaring wax palms – Colombia’s national tree. On arrival we share a canelazo welcome drink, then take a guided walk through the misty cloud forest among the world’s tallest palms. We also take part in a simple palm–planting ritual as a gesture of respect for nature.
We continue to Salento, a heritage town known for its vibrant traditional architecture. After lunch we head to Filandia to wander its colonial streets and see local crafts. We visit the La Colina Iluminada lookout for broad views of the coffee region’s mountains, and round off the day at a traditional basketry workshop, learning to weave with vegetable fibres.
Please note: the Quindio viewpoint is closed on Mondays and on Tuesdays following a holiday Monday in Colombia. Hotel Biohabitat or similar.
