Day 1 - Prague
Welcome to Prague. Upon arrival at the airport, we will transfer you to your hotel. Please check the information boards in the hotel reception for details about the welcome meeting with your guide. In the evening, we'll take you to Old Town Square, a vibrant area full of activity and ideal for dinner. You can choose from a variety of restaurants offering Czech cuisine along with Chinese, Indian, and Italian options. After dinner, we will transfer you back to the hotel.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Prague
Today, we explore Prague, often described as the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our local guide will take us on a panoramic tour, showcasing the city's most remarkable monuments. We'll visit Prague Castle, with admission included, to discover its historic significance. Following the castle tour, we'll enjoy a relaxing boat ride along the Vltava River. In the afternoon, you'll have free time to explore Prague at your own pace.
Day 3 - Prague - Munich - Innsbruck
We depart early, travelling to Bavaria in Germany and arriving in Munich around midday. You'll have free time to explore the historic city centre and enjoy lunch at your leisure. In the afternoon, we continue to Austria, reaching Innsbruck nestled in the Alps. Here, you'll have time to discover the Tyrolean capital, including the Golden Roof area and the charming Old Town, where dinner options await before our onward journey.
Day 4 - Innsbruck - Zurich
Begin your day in Innsbruck with a visit to the Swarovski Museum, renowned for its exquisite crystal creations. We'll explore the impressive gardens and discover the intricate process behind these iconic pieces. Afterwards, you'll have some free time to wander the nearby area before we travel to Zurich. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Tyrolean landscape as we cross into Switzerland. Once in Zurich, spend your evening in the historic city centre by the lake, where you can choose from a variety of dining options including Indian, Oriental, Italian, international and Swiss cuisine.
Day 5 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today's journey takes us through some of Switzerland's most stunning landscapes, with towering mountains and crystal-clear lakes. We begin in the Interlaken region, stopping first in Grindelwald for a coffee break before taking a cable car up the mountain. From there, we walk along a winding trail to a suspended bridge - crossing it rewards you with spectacular views of the glaciers below. Lunch is included on the mountain before we return to the valley. Next, we travel to Lucerne, one of Switzerland's most picturesque cities, where you'll have time to explore the charming streets and waterfront at your leisure. We then make our way back to Zurich for your evening. For those interested, the guide offers an optional full-day excursion starting in the morning: after some free time in Lucerne, you can take a rotating cable car up to the summit of Mount Titlis, over 3,000 metres above sea level, to enjoy breathtaking alpine views of the glacier and surrounding Alps.
Day 6 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We depart Zurich early, crossing the Alps to reach the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first stop is Bellinzona, famed for its three medieval castles, designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These hilltop fortresses reflect Bellinzona's historical role as a key alpine stronghold. You'll have some free time to explore the delightful old town centre. We then continue into Italy, arriving in the charming lakeside town of Como for lunch. Known as the jewel of Lombardy, Como boasts beautiful gardens and an impressive cathedral. Later, we'll head to Milan where our guide will take us to the striking Piazza del Duomo. After some time to wander in the city centre, we transfer you to the hotel for the evening.
Day 7 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
We leave Milan this morning and travel to Pisa. Upon arrival, we take a short tourist train ride to the Piazza dei Miracoli, where you will have time to admire this remarkable ensemble of art and architecture, including the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Later, we continue to Rome, arriving in the evening.
Day 8 - Rome
In the morning, we'll take a three-hour guided tour of Rome, blending a walking tour through Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride to admire some of the city's most iconic sites. We'll see landmarks including the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant-Angelo. The tour concludes at Vatican City around 11:00 a.m., where there will be an optional visit to the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel. Later, we'll transfer you to the vibrant Trastevere neighbourhood, known for its cosy restaurants and lively atmosphere. Return to the hotel is scheduled for around 8:30 p.m.
Day 9 - Rome - Florence
Today we leave Rome and travel north, enjoying the scenic countryside along the way. On arrival in Florence, we head straight to Piazzale Michelangelo, where you can take in sweeping views over the city. From there, we walk to the historic centre and after some time for lunch, join a guided tour led by a local expert. We visit key landmarks including the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo and Piazza della Signoria, exploring the city's celebrated art and architecture. Afterwards, you have free time to explore Florence at your own pace. In the evening, the area offers a wide selection of restaurants serving international cuisine for you to choose from.
Day 10 - Florence - Venice
Today we cross the Apennine Mountains, enjoying spectacular mountain scenery en route to Venice. On arrival, we take a boat across the Giudecca Canal to the island itself. With a local guide, we visit the magnificent St Mark's Square before touring a Murano Glass Factory to watch traditional glassmaking techniques in action. You then have some free time to explore Venice at your own pace. Accommodation for the night is in the Mestre district.
Day 11 - Venice
After breakfast, your journey concludes, leaving you with lasting memories of your time in Venice.
