Day 1 - Prague
Upon arrival in Prague, we will transfer you to your hotel, where you’ll have some free time to settle in and relax. In the afternoon, you can find important information about the start of your tour displayed on the boards at the hotel reception. The rest of the day is yours to explore the city at your leisure.
Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour.
Day 2 - Prague
Today we explore Prague, often called the Baroque jewel of Europe. Our local guide will take us on a panoramic tour, showcasing the city’s most remarkable monuments. We’ll visit Prague Castle, with admission included, where you can appreciate its historical and architectural significance. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy a boat ride on the Vltava River, offering a unique perspective of the city’s skyline. The afternoon is yours to discover Prague at your own pace.
Day 3 - Prague - Pilsen - Rothenburg - Frankfurt
We depart early from Prague and travel to Pilsen in western Bohemia, famed for its brewing heritage. You’ll have time to explore the historic centre, including the Old Town Square, cathedral, Plague Column, and Renaissance-era town hall. Continuing into Germany, we follow a portion of the Romantic Road to Rothenburg, a picturesque town often described as one of the country’s most beautiful villages. In the evening, we arrive in Frankfurt, Germany’s financial hub. You’ll have free time to enjoy the historic city centre, with a wide selection of restaurants offering Indian, Asian, Italian and international cuisines.
Day 4 - Frankfurt - Cruise on the Rhine - Cologne - Amsterdam
Today, we set off on a scenic cruise along the most picturesque stretch of the Rhine River between the villages of Rüdesheim and St. Goar. This section is renowned for its charming riverside landscapes and historic castles. After the cruise, we continue to Cologne, a city celebrated for its impressive Gothic cathedral, an iconic landmark of German architecture. From Cologne, we travel onward to the Netherlands, arriving in Amsterdam by evening.
Day 5 - Amsterdam
Today we visit some of the most picturesque corners of Holland. We begin at Zaanse Schans, known for its traditional houses, canals, and iconic windmills. Next, we travel to Volendam, a charming fishing village famed for its scenic harbour and historic character. From Volendam, we take a short boat ride to Marken, formerly an island now connected to the mainland by a dike; here, houses are traditionally built on stilts to protect against flooding. In the afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Amsterdam, exploring highlights such as the windmill and the Rembrandt statue, the elegant South District, and the diamond-cutting heritage at Museum Square. The tour concludes with a walk into the heart of the city, where you will have free time to explore Amsterdam’s famous canals, markets, and cafés at your own pace.
Day 6 - Amsterdam - Brussels - Paris
After breakfast, we travel to Belgium, arriving in Brussels—approximately 200 kilometres away—which serves as the Belgian capital and hosts key European institutions. We will admire the impressive Grand Place, a fine example of Flemish Baroque architecture, and take a stroll to see the famous Manneken Pis statue. Brussels offers a blend of history, chocolate culture, and contemporary life. In the afternoon, we continue into France, reaching Paris by the end of the day.
Day 7 - Paris
We begin the day with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles, where you can explore the stunning gardens and grand architecture at your own pace (admission not included). Returning to Paris, we visit Montmartre, a charming bohemian district known for its artistic heritage and vibrant cabaret scene. Afterwards, we enjoy a panoramic city tour with a local guide, taking in Paris’s broad avenues and iconic landmarks to fully appreciate the city’s grandeur. We then return to the hotel. In the evening, there is an optional variety show for those who wish to experience Parisian nightlife.
Day 8 - Paris
We begin the day in central Paris with a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower, where we include tickets to ascend to the second floor of this renowned iron landmark. Following this, we enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Seine lasting approximately an hour and fifteen minutes, offering lovely views of the city from the river. The afternoon is free for you to explore Paris at your own pace. Please note that transfers back to the hotel in the evening are not included. Should wait times at the Eiffel Tower be extensive, we may reschedule the visit to a different time or day for your convenience.
Day 9 - Paris - Burgundy - Beaune - Lyon
Today we travel through the Burgundy region, famous for its scenic vineyards and exceptional wines. Our first stop is Beaune, a charming town at the heart of Burgundy known for its colourful streets, historic hospice, and wine museum. You’ll have some free time here for lunch and a leisurely stroll. Afterwards, we continue to Lyon, once the capital of Roman Gaul and a UNESCO World Heritage site, situated on the banks of the Rhône River. We’ll take a cable car up to Notre-Dame de Fourvière to enjoy sweeping views over the city. You will then have some free time to explore Lyon at your own pace. Please note, in some cases part of the group may stay overnight in Chambéry, a nearby medieval-style town renowned for its historic centre and impressive castle, with a morning visit planned before continuing the tour.
Day 10 - Lyon - Geneva - Zurich
We travel to Switzerland, arriving in Geneva where we will see the Palace of Nations?the European headquarters of the United Nations. We will visit the English Garden to admire its famous flower clock and enjoy views of the Jet d?Eau, Europe's tallest fountain. After lunch, we continue through scenic Swiss landscapes along Lake Geneva and Lake Neuch?tel, passing the picturesque Three Lakes region with its vineyards framed by mountains. We stop in Neuch?tel, where you can take a leisurely walk by the lake, explore the historic town centre, or visit the 10th-century castle. Our journey concludes in Zurich, arriving in the late afternoon. Please note, depending on group size, travel from Geneva to Zurich may be by train, which means there will be no stop in Neuch?tel.
Day 11 - Zurich
We begin the day with a guided tour of Zurich, Switzerland’s largest city and its financial and cultural hub. Known for its banking sector, Zurich has twice been ranked as the city with the highest quality of life worldwide. Following the tour, we embark on a scenic cruise on Lake Zurich lasting nearly two hours, with stops at charming lakeside villages along the way. We disembark in Rapperswil, a picturesque town famed for its medieval castle. From there, we return to Zurich by train, offering a chance to experience the efficiency of the Swiss railway system. Note that transfers to and from the city centre may be by public transport, depending on the group size.
Day 12 - Zurich - Lucerne - Zurich
Today we experience some of Switzerland’s most stunning alpine scenery around Interlaken. Our first stop is the charming village of Grindelwald, where we’ll pause for a coffee before taking a cable car up the mountain. From there, we’ll follow a winding path to a suspended bridge, which adventurous travellers may choose to cross, offering impressive views of the surrounding glaciers. Lunch is included on the mountain before we descend. Later, we’ll visit Lucerne—renowned for its picturesque setting—where you’ll have time to explore at your leisure. We then return to Zurich for the evening. There is also an optional full-day excursion available, starting in the morning: after some free time in Lucerne, you can take a rotating cable car to the summit of Mount Titlis, standing over 3,000 metres above sea level, to enjoy exceptional views of the glaciers and Alps.
Day 13 - Zurich - Bellinzona - Como - Milan
We leave Zurich early this morning, crossing the Alps into the Italian-speaking region of Switzerland. Our first stop is Bellinzona, famous for its three medieval castles that are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. These hilltop fortresses underline Bellinzona’s historic importance as an Alpine stronghold. You’ll have some free time to explore the picturesque streets of the town centre. Afterwards, we continue into Italy and visit the charming lakeside town of Como for lunch. Known as the jewel of Lombardy, Como is admired for its beautiful gardens and impressive cathedral. We then travel on to Milan, where our guide will lead a visit to the grand Piazza del Duomo. You’ll have some time to explore this vibrant area before we transfer you to the hotel for the evening.
Day 14 - Milan - Pisa - Rome
Today we continue towards Pisa, beginning with a short ride on a tourist train to the Piazza dei Miracoli, or Square of Miracles. Here, you can admire one of Italy’s most remarkable art ensembles, including the renowned Leaning Tower of Pisa. After some free time to explore, we travel onward to Rome, arriving later in the day.
Day 15 - Rome
In the morning, we’ll embark on a three-hour guided tour of Rome, combining a walking exploration of Imperial Rome with a panoramic bus ride through the city. You’ll see iconic landmarks including the Arch of Constantine, the exterior of the Colosseum and the Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, the Baths of Caracalla, the Basilica of Saint Mary Major, the Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant’Angelo. The tour concludes around 11.00 a.m. at Vatican City, where you can opt to visit the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel with your guide. Later in the day, we’ll transfer you to Trastevere, a vibrant neighbourhood known for its charming restaurants and lively atmosphere. You will return to the hotel at approximately 8.30 p.m.
Day 16 - Rome - Madrid
At the designated time, we will transfer you to the airport for your included domestic flight. Upon arrival in Madrid, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Your guide will contact you later in the afternoon, or you can check for information at the hotel reception. Please note that on domestic flights, the standard luggage allowance is one suitcase up to 20 kg in the hold. Any excess baggage charges must be paid directly to the airline.
Day 17 - Madrid
We begin the morning with an extensive tour of central Madrid, taking in key sights such as Paseo del Prado, the Cibeles and Neptuno fountains, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Colón, and Plaza Mayor. Next, we visit Retiro Park, a peaceful green space in the heart of the city, where we’ll see the lake and the Palacio de Cristal. Included is admission to Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, home to Real Madrid, one of the world’s most renowned football clubs. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure. In the evening, we provide transfer back to the hotel.
Day 18 - Madrid - Zaragoza - Poblet - Barcelona
We depart Madrid this morning, travelling through the Castile region towards Aragon. Our first stop is Zaragoza, where we’ll admire the striking Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, a significant religious and architectural landmark. Afterwards, we continue to Poblet Abbey, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in Europe; entrance is included. In the evening, we arrive in Barcelona to conclude the day’s journey.
Day 19 - Barcelona
We begin the day with a panoramic tour of Barcelona, a vibrant city known for its stunning modernist architecture by Gaudí and its lively streets, including the famous Ramblas. Situated on the Mediterranean coast, Barcelona has a rich heritage shaped by World Expositions and the Olympic Games, making it one of Europe’s most captivating capitals. The tour concludes at Maremagnum, a contemporary leisure and dining complex beside the sea near Columbus Square, where you can enjoy a stroll. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure before we return to the hotel later in the day.
Day 20 - Barcelona
After breakfast, your tour concludes in Barcelona, leaving you with lasting memories of your journey.
