Day 1 - Copenhagen Walking Tour & Welcome Dinner

Welcome to the start of an unforgettable 10-day journey through Scandinavia! We begin in Copenhagen, the vibrant capital of Denmark. This morning, meet your tour leader and fellow travellers at the hotel. After a briefing on the itinerary, join a local guide for a combined driving and walking tour.
We will visit some of Copenhagen's iconic sights, such as the Little Mermaid statue, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale, and the historic Rosenborg Castle, a Renaissance-era royal palace. You’ll gain insights into the rich history of this charming city.
In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner with the group, included in the itinerary.
Day 2 - Copenhagen Free Day with Optional Canal Cruise & Museum Tour

Enjoy a full day at leisure in the vibrant city of Copenhagen. Renowned for its striking architecture and commitment to sustainability, Copenhagen offers an abundance of attractions and activities to explore.
If you choose, join the optional excursion featuring a canal cruise, which provides a distinctive perspective on Denmark’s history and culture. Also included is a visit to the National Museum and some free time for lunch at Reffen market.
Alternatively, explore independently and consider visiting Tivoli Gardens, the world-famous amusement park, or unwind in one of Copenhagen's charming cafés.
Day 3 - Odense & Aarhus Visits with Overnight Ferry to Norway

Today, we continue our Danish journey, departing Copenhagen for the seaport town of Hirtshals. En route, we visit Odense, famed as the birthplace of Hans Christian Andersen, the celebrated author behind fairy tales like "The Ugly Duckling" and "The Little Mermaid." We'll take an orientation tour of Odense before you have some free time to explore independently.
Next, we head to Aarhus, Denmark's second-largest city. Here, we'll embark on an orientation tour and visit Den Gamle By, an intriguing open-air museum showcasing Danish life in times gone by.
Finally, we reach Hirtshals, where we board an overnight ferry to Bergen, Norway.
Day 4 - Arrival in Bergen & Optional Fishing Villages Excursion

Awake on the ferry with a cheerful "god morgen" as we reach Norway's shores. This morning, we arrive in Bergen, a captivating city nestled amidst seven mountains and known as the gateway to the fjords—a true highlight of any Norwegian journey.
We will embark on an orientation tour of Bergen, taking in the historic Bryggen Quay, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its vibrant wooden buildings and rich Hanseatic history. The afternoon is yours to explore at leisure or join an optional excursion to nearby fishing villages. This excursion also offers the opportunity to enjoy a traditional Norwegian dinner at a former trading post turned café.
Day 5 - Bergen Free Day with Optional Bryggen & Fløyen Tour

After breakfast, the day is yours to explore Bergen, Norway's second-largest city, renowned for its delightful blend of history and culture.
For a comprehensive experience, consider joining our optional Bergen+ excursion. We’ll start with a guided tour of Bryggen, the historic wharf recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its colourful wooden buildings and storied past. Next, experience a ride on the Fløibanen funicular, whisking us up 1,000 feet to Fløyen mountain, offering panoramic views over the city.
To conclude this memorable excursion, we’ll visit the Magic Ice Bar, where you can enjoy unique ice sculptures and savour a refreshing cocktail.
Day 6 - Fjord Cruise from Gudvangen to Flam & Journey to Oslo

Experience the breathtaking beauty of Norway today. After breakfast in Bergen, we set off towards Oslo, pausing at some of the country's most scenic spots. Our first stop is Gudvangen, a charming village situated at the base of the stunning Nærøyfjord.
For those eager to explore the fjords further, an optional excursion is available. You may visit a Viking Village before embarking on a sightseeing cruise that promises awe-inspiring views of the Nærøyfjord and Aurlandsfjorden.
Next, we continue to Flåm, where the coach will reunite with the group. From there, we travel to Borgund, known for its distinctive Stave Church, an architectural gem reflecting Norway's medieval past.
Finally, we arrive in Oslo, the vibrant capital of Norway. Check into your hotel for a well-deserved rest, with dinner provided.
Day 7 - Oslo City Tour & Optional Museums Excursion

This morning, we embark on a guided walking tour of Oslo. As Norway's capital and home to the Norwegian royal family, you will see the Royal Palace and visit the medieval Akershus Castle. Afterwards, explore at your leisure or join the optional Oslo+ excursion to discover more of the city's top parks and museums.
Spend the rest of your day experiencing the easy-going vibe of this cool capital in your own way. For dinner, perhaps consult your tour leader for restaurant suggestions to savour Oslo's emerging culinary scene.
Day 8 - Travel to Stockholm via Karlstad & Örebro

Embark on a journey towards the vibrant Swedish capital, Stockholm. En route, we'll pause in Karlstad, one of Sweden's sunniest spots, loved by outdoor enthusiasts. Take this opportunity to enjoy lunch or explore the local surroundings at your leisure.
Our next destination is the historic city of Örebro. Here, you can wander through the picturesque city centre and admire the imposing 13th-century Örebro Castle, a fascinating glimpse into mediaeval Sweden.
Finally, we arrive in Stockholm. After settling in at the hotel, anticipate an evening delight of traditional Swedish meatballs for dinner, offering a true taste of local cuisine.
Day 9 - Stockholm Guided Tour & Optional Royal Palace & Vasa Museum Visit

Greet the day in Sweden with a hearty 'hej'! We'll kick off with a guided tour, combining both driving and walking, to uncover Stockholm's iconic sights. Marvel at the grandeur of the Royal Palace and visit the historic AF Chapman ship. We’ll wander through Gamla Stan, the charming Old Town brimming with medieval architecture.
In your free afternoon, consider visiting one of Stockholm's renowned museums. For a deeper dive into Sweden’s imperial and maritime heritage, an optional guided tour of the Royal Palace and its exquisite gardens is available, paired with a visit to the fascinating Vasa Museum.
