Itinerary
Day 1 - Athens
On arrival at Athens airport, you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel. Athens offers a selection of exceptional hotels, and your accommodation has been carefully chosen to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable one-night stay. Take the evening to relax and settle in before the adventures ahead. Overnight in Athens.
Day 2 - Athens - Epidaurus - Nauplion - Mycenae - Olympia
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we travel along the scenic coastal road to the Corinth Canal, pausing briefly to admire this impressive engineering feat. We then continue to the Theatre of Epidauros, renowned for its exceptional acoustics. Next, we stop in the charming town of Nauplion to capture some memorable photographs. Our journey proceeds to Mycenae, where we explore the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon, significant remnants of ancient Greek civilisation. From there, we drive through the heart of the Peloponnese, passing the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis, before arriving in Olympia. Here, you will spend the night in the birthplace of the Olympic Games.
Day 3 - Olympia - Delphi - Delphi
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we explore the Archaeological Site, including the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium, and the Archaeological Museum. Following this, we travel through the plains of Elis and Achaia, crossing the impressive bridge spanning the Corinthian Gulf from Rion to Antirion. We pass the charming towns of Nafpaktos (Lepanto) and Itea before arriving in Delphi, where a comfortable room and a delicious dinner await you.
Day 4 - Delphi - Kalabaka - Kalabaka
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Archaeological Site and Museum in Delphi, exploring the rich history of this ancient sanctuary. Later, we travel to Kalambaka, a small town nestled at the base of the remarkable Meteora rock formations. You will spend the night in Kalambaka, ready to discover more of this unique landscape the following day.
Day 5 - Kalabaka - Athens
After a satisfying breakfast, we explore the extraordinary Meteora – a series of ancient monasteries perched atop towering rock formations, renowned for their stunning Byzantine art and dramatic setting. Afterwards, we travel back to Athens, passing through Trikala, Lamia and Thermopylae. En route, we pause briefly to view the Monument of Leonidas, a tribute to the Spartan king. Upon arrival in Athens, you will be transferred to the airport after 8pm to continue your onward journey. Breakfast is included.
