Day 1 - Guwahati - Mangaldai
Guwahati - Orang National Park (110kms/ 2.3hrs approx) On arrival at Guwahati airport meet your driver, assistance and proceed to Orang National Park and check in at resort. Rest time free and easy to relax. Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 - Bomdila - Mangaldai
Orang National Park - Bomdila (180kms/ 5hrs approx) After breakfast safari in The Orang National Park located on the northern bank of the Brahmaputra River. Spread over the area of around 79 sq km, the park is highly enriched in wildlife which consists of one-horned Rhino, tiger, elephant, leopard, deer, sambar and many others. The park is also famous for bird watching due to the presence of a large number of exotic migratory birds and domestic birds.After lunch drive to Bomdila check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 - Bomdila - Tawang
Bomdila - Tawang (180kms/ 5hrs approx) Breakfast at hotel visit Bomdila Monastery this abode to Buddhist monks and Lamas is the believed to be an exact replica of Tsona Gontse Monastery in Tibet. This monastery in Bomdila is constructed by who was believed to be the 12th reincarnate of Tsona Rinpoche. The monastery belongs to the Mahayana Buddhism. A huge prayer hall has also, recently, been added to the structure. Another major part and attraction is the Buddha Temple built withing the monastery premises. This monastery has three parts, Upper Gompa, Middle Gompa and Lower Gompa. Also visit Bomdila View Point where you will found clouds kissing the ground, the massive Himalayas towering all around and the panoramic view of the Kemeng Valley. The view from up here is sure to take up a permanent space in your memory and its beauty will be unforgettable. After lunch drive to Tawang check in at hotel. Overnight at Hotel
Day 4 - Tawang
Tawang Breakfast at hotel full day to explore the Tawang. Tawang houses a lot of scenic attractions they range from monasteries, peaks and waterfalls. The sight of the tranquil water of lakes, rivers and of numerous high waterfalls reflecting the colour of blue sky and sometimes, hovering clouds overhead, gives a mesmerising experience. Visit Tawang Monastery the largest monastery in India and second largest in the world after the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. It was founded by Merak Lama Lodre Gyatso in 1680-1681 in accordance with the wishes of the 5th Dalai Lama, Ngawang Lobsang Gyatso. The monastery is three stories high. It is enclosed by a 925 feet (282 m) long compound wall. Within the complex there are 65 residential buildings. The library of the monastery has valuable old scriptures, mainly Kangyur and Tengyur. Rest time free and easy to explore the surrounding. Urgelling Gompa believed to be the birthplace of his Holiness the 6th Dalai Lama, this monastery was built around the 14th century. Situated at a distance of 3kms from the main town this Gompa is considered to be one of the peaceful places to visit in Tawang a splendid beauty and marvelous architecture. Tawang War Memorial overlooking the Tawang Chu valley a huge 40 feet high structure, resembling a stupa. This multi-hued monument was built in loving memories of Indian soldiers, who sacrificed their lives for the country during Indo-Sino war. Take steep steps to reach the memorial and read the names of 2420 such soldiers, engraved in granite plates there. Rest time free and easy to enjyoy the surrounding. Overnight at Hotel
Day 5 - Tawang - Dirang
Tawang - Dirang (140kms/ 5hrs approx) Breakfast at hotel drive to Dirang on way visit Jaswant Garh War Memorial to the brave soldier who single handedly tried to get hold of the approaching Chinese army during the Chinese aggression in 1962. Also experience the beauty of Sella Lake at Sella Pass (13746ft). Arrive Dirang check in at hotel. Later city tour of Dirang, visit Dirang Dzong. The area is close to Bhutan and the Bhutanese influence is perceptible in the local Dzong or fort. The Dirang Dzong is about 150 years old. Some of the stone houses around the dzong are said to be about 500 years old. The entry is through a stone staircase. You can get an excellent view of the surrounding area from here. The view of the Dirang valley is mesmerizing in itself. There is a bridge over the river Kameng and on the other side you can see beautiful paddy land. Also visit Hot Water Spring about a kilometer ahead of the town on the way to Tawang you will find the stairs to this hot spring. You have to follow the stairs for about 500 meters to reach the Hot Spring which is considered to be a holy place. The hot spring is rich in sulfur content and is known to have great medicinal properties. There is a facility to have a bath in the hot spring which can have a magical effect on a tired body. Day 6 - Dirang - Tezpur
Dirang - Tezpur (190kms/ 5hrs approx) Breakfast at hotel drive to Tezpur the beautiful historical town known for its ancient temples and ruins. Arrive and check in at hotel. Later visit Agnigarh, one of the most mythical fortresses in Tezpur is believed to have been surrounded by fire to separate Usha, the daughter of King Bana from Lord Krishna’s grandson, Anirudha. Bamuni Hills that has sculptures that go back to the 9th century. The Bamuni Hills has the touch of Gupta architectural style and is celebrated as one of the most excellent sculptural sites of Assam. Da-Parbatia which has doorframes that date back to 600 AD and has critical cultural and historical value. Evening visit 'Chitralekha Uddyan'- that houses the finest specimen of sculptural remains of 9th century. Overnight at Hotel
Day 7 - Tezpur - Guwahati
Tezpur - Guwahati (180km/ 4hr approx) Breakfast at hotel, drive to Guwahati check in at hotel. Later visit Kamakhya Temple one of the most venerated Shakti shrines associated with the legend of Shiva and Daksha Yagna. Navagraha Temple dedicated to the nine planets in the solar system a center of astrological and astronomical research. Umananda Island the smallest river island in the world where human and the wilderness co-habit in peace and serenity. Umananda Temple is a Shiva Temple built in 1594, by the Ahom King of Assam. Evening enjoy a magnificent sunset over the majestic Brahmaputra River on a cruise. Breakfast at hotel, drive to Guwahati check in at hotel.
