Itinerary
Day 1 - Bangalore
Arrive in Bengaluru (Bangalore). On arrival, we meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is at leisure – you can relax and recover from your journey. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Bangalore & Mysore
After breakfast at the hotel, we tour Bangalore, visiting Lal Bagh Garden, Vidhana Soudha, and Bangalore Palace and Fort. Later, we drive to Mysore – approximately 145 km, around three hours – and check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Journey to Hassan
After breakfast in Mysore, we visit Mysore Palace before continuing to Srirangapatna to explore the fort and the Ranganathaswamy Temple. Later, we drive to Hassan – around 140 km, approximately 3 hours – stopping en route at Shravanabelagola to visit the Jain temple. On arrival in Hassan, we check in at the hotel for the night.
Day 4 - Hassan & Hampi
After breakfast, we check out and visit Hassan, then the temples at Halebidu and Belur – noted for exquisite Hoysala-era stone carving. After sightseeing, we drive to Hampi – approximately 330 km, around 7 hours – and check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 - Exploring Hampi
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a full day city tour of Hampi – a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the banks of the Tungabhadra River, known for its temple complexes from the Vijayanagara Empire. We visit Hazara Rama Temple, King’s Balance, Mahanavami Dibba, the Royal Enclosures, the statue of Ugra Narasimha, Virupaksha Temple, the Vithala Temple complex and Lotus Mahal – plus the ASI Museum. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 - Hampi to Badami
After breakfast, we drive 195 km – around four hours – from Hampi to Badami, visiting Lakkundi and Gadag en route. Guide services are not available in Lakkundi and Gadag – if a local guide is available on the day, our driver will help arrange this. On arrival in Badami, we check in to the hotel, and the rest of the day is free for you to relax. Overnight in Badami.
Day 7 - Aihole, Pattadakal & Badami Sightseeing
Badami – Aihole – Pattadakal (about 70 kilometres round trip). After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on an excursion to Aihole and Pattadakal, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Aihole is a major archaeological complex spread over about 5 square kilometres, with more than 120 stone and cave temples dating from the 4th to the 12th centuries CE – the majority Hindu, with a few Jain and one Buddhist. At Pattadakal, we see an outstanding series of nine Hindu temples and a Jain sanctuary that showcase the high point of Chalukyan art, with the Virupaksha Temple – built c. 740 by Queen Lokamahadevi to commemorate her husband’s victory over southern kings – as the highlight. We return to Badami for city sightseeing. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 - Badami to Goa
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Badami to Goa – approximately 235 kilometres, taking around 5 hours – and check in on arrival. The rest of the day is at leisure – you can head to the beach or simply unwind at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - Exploring Goa
Breakfast at the hotel, then we spend a full day exploring Goa – visiting the Churches of Old Goa, Panjim city, the Altinho neighbourhood, the Dona Paula viewpoint and some of the state’s famous beaches. Goa’s coastline runs along the Arabian Sea and its Portuguese heritage, visible in preserved 17th century churches and tropical spice plantations, adds context to today’s sightseeing. The rest of the day is free for you to relax. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 - Goa At Leisure
After breakfast at the hotel, the day is at leisure in Goa. You can relax on the beach or explore the sights that interest you with your driver – the pace is entirely yours. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 - Goa to Chiplun
Goa – Chiplun (340 km – approx. 7 hours) After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Chiplun, a journey of around seven hours. En route you can choose to visit Sindhudurg Fort. On arrival, we check in at the hotel and the rest of the day is free for you to explore the surroundings. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 - Chiplun & Lonavala
After breakfast at the hotel, we explore Chiplun, a hill station in the forested Western Ghats. We visit Sawatsada Waterfall – best seen in the monsoon – Parshurama Temple, dedicated to the sixth avatar of Vishnu, and Gowalkot Fort on the southern bank of the Vashishti River, naturally protected on three sides by water and by a trench on the fourth. In the afternoon we drive to Lonavala – approximately 210 km, around 5 hours – and check in at the hotel for the night.
Day 13 - Exploring Lonavala
After breakfast, we explore Lonavala’s green valleys and rock cut heritage. We visit the Karla and Bhaja Caves – ancient Buddhist shrines carved into the hillside – with monks’ cells, a prayer hall and a large stupa, as well as the Ekvira temple. The caves feature impressive pillars and intricate relief sculptures. We then continue south to Lohagad Fort, noted for its four gates, and west to Bhushi Dam, where water spills over the steps in the monsoon season. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14 - Lonavala to Mumbai
After breakfast, we drive from Lonavala to Mumbai – around 80 kilometres, 2 hours – and check in at the hotel. Later, we head out on a city tour, visiting the Gateway of India and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya – also known as the Prince of Wales Museum and closed on Mondays. We follow Marine Drive from Nariman Point to Malabar Hill and walk through the Hanging Gardens. We view the Maharashtra State Assembly and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – from the outside, see the city’s famous open air laundry at Dhobi Ghat, and visit Mani Bhawan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 15 - Mumbai
After breakfast at the hotel, we transfer you to Mumbai airport in line with your flight schedule to board your onward flight.
