Itinerary
Day 1 - New Delhi - Delhi - Ranthambore National Park
We collect you from your hotel or Delhi Airport in the morning and set off for Ranthambore in a private, air conditioned vehicle – a 360 km drive that takes around 6–7 hours. As we leave Delhi behind, watch rural Rajasthan unfold with mustard fields, roadside dhabas and camel carts. We pause for comfort and refreshment stops as needed.Arriving by early afternoon, we check you in to your jungle resort for lunch and some time at leisure. You can relax by the pool, wander the gardens or simply take in the quiet of the surroundings. In the late afternoon, we visit Ranthambore Fort inside the national park, perched atop a 700 foot hill. Dating to the 10th century, its stone walls, temples, cenotaphs and battlements offer sweeping views over the tiger reserve – a striking cultural counterpoint to the wilderness below. We return to the resort before sunset for dinner and a restful night. Overnight in Ranthambore.
Day 2 - Ranthambore National Park
Rise early for a shared jungle safari in an open Jeep or Canter – vehicle type is subject to availability – led by a certified forest naturalist. The forest department assigns the safari zone on the day, and each offers distinct terrain and wildlife. Early mornings are prime for sightings as the forest wakes. We navigate dry deciduous woodland, rocky outcrops and quiet lakes, looking for tigers alongside sloth bears, sambar deer, blue bulls, hyenas and abundant birdlife, including Indian eagle owls, painted storks and crested serpent eagles.Return to the resort for breakfast. You can then take the late morning at leisure – relax by the pool, book an Ayurvedic massage or enjoy a gentle nature walk around the property. After lunch at the resort, we head out on a second shared safari in the afternoon, usually in a different zone to broaden viewing opportunities. Your guide will help interpret alarm calls, territorial markings and plant life, adding insight to everything we encounter.Arrive back just before sunset. The evening is free to unwind, or you may join a wildlife documentary screening at the resort if available. Overnight stay at a resort in Ranthambore.
Day 3 - Delhi
We start early for our third and final shared safari in a Jeep or Canter – subject to availability. Dawn in the park is ideal for photography and wildlife viewing, with a chance to spot tigers on the move, spotted deer in the morning mist and langurs in the treetops. After returning to the resort, we enjoy a well deserved breakfast and complete check out. We then begin the 360 km drive back to Delhi in a private, air conditioned vehicle. You can stop en route for refreshments or local souvenirs before we arrive in the city by early evening. We will drop you at your hotel or at Delhi Airport – a fitting close to your Ranthambore experience.
