Set off from Goa and wind through the Deccan to finish in Hyderabad – a six day journey packed with forts and temples. You’ll explore Belgaum and Kolhapur for hilltop views and sacred shrines, then visit Vijayapura’s grand monuments – Gol Gumbaz, Bara Kaman and elegant palaces. Expect to see Gulbarga’s atmospheric fort and Sufi heritage, plus Bidar’s citadel, royal tombs and the colourful Rangeen Mahal. In Hyderabad, climb Golconda, admire the Qutb Shahi Tombs, look up at Charminar and wander Chowmahalla and the vast Salar Jung Museum. Comfortable drives, deep history and plenty of character make this route a brilliant Deccan snapshot.

Day 1 - Goa to Kolhapur
We depart Goa for Kolhapur via Belgaum – 225 km – approximately 5 hours by road. En route we explore Belgaum, visiting Belgaum Fort, set on a hill with wide views and a mix of architectural styles; Kapileshwar Temple beside a stream, known for stone carvings depicting scenes from Hindu mythology; and St. Mary’s Church, a peaceful example of Portuguese colonial architecture with whitewashed walls, arched windows and an ornate altar. After sightseeing we continue to Kolhapur and check in to the hotel. In the evening we visit Mahalakshmi Temple, where devotees gather to offer prayers, and Bhavani Mandap, a historic complex linked to Kolhapur’s royal past. Overnight in Kolhapur.
Day 2 - Kolhapur to Vijayapura
After breakfast in Kolhapur, we drive to Vijayapura (Bijapur) – 185 km, approx. 4 hours. On arrival, we explore Vijayapura Fort before visiting Asar Mahal and the striking arches of Bara Kaman. We continue to Gol Gumbaz, known for its vast dome and whispering gallery, and visit Jama Masjid. We also take in Mehtar Mahal, Malik‑e‑Maidan and Ibrahim Rouza. Overnight at your hotel in Vijayapura.
Day 3 - Journey to Gulbarga
After a leisurely breakfast in Vijayapura, we drive to Gulbarga – around 170 km, approximately 3 hours. On arrival, we visit Gulbarga Fort and walk its ramparts, then continue to the Jama Masjid with its striking arches. We proceed to Sharana Basaveshwara Temple and finish at the Khwaja Bande Nawaz Tomb. Later, we check in to the hotel and unwind – overnight in Gulbarga.
Day 4 - Bidar & Hyderabad
After breakfast, we depart Gulbarga for Hyderabad via Bidar – about 260 km and approximately five hours by road. En route, we explore Bidar Fort, walk among the tombs of the Bahmani kings and visit the richly decorated Rangeen Mahal. We also stop at Narasimha Jhira Cave Temple, known for its cave setting and flowing water. We then continue to Hyderabad and check in at the hotel for the night.
Day 5 - Exploring Hyderabad
Hyderabad After breakfast at your hotel, we set out to explore the City of Pearls. We begin at Golconda Fort, walking its ramparts and passageways for panoramic views over Hyderabad. We continue to the Qutub Shahi Tombs before heading to Charminar – you can climb to the upper level for a classic outlook across the old city. We tour Chowmahalla Palace, taking in its grand halls and courtyards, then visit the Salar Jung Museum to see its extensive collections of art and artefacts from around the world. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 - Hyderabad
After a relaxed breakfast at the hotel, we check out – concluding your journey through the Deccan. We arrange a smooth transfer to the airport for your departure.
