Day 1 - Trivandrum to Kovalam
On arrival at Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) airport, we greet you and arrange your transfer to your hotel in Kovalam – a scenic drive past coconut groves, lush greenery and occasional glimpses of the Arabian Sea. Settle into your accommodation on arrival – standard check in is from 2 pm. The rest of the day is at leisure: you can stroll along the beach, dip your toes in the water or try local delicacies as you ease into the relaxed coastal pace. Overnight in Kovalam.
Day 2 - Exploring Trivandrum
After breakfast in Kovalam, we set out for Trivandrum for a day of culture and coastline. We begin at Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple, noted for its gilded exterior – please note that entry to the inner sanctum is for Hindus only. We then explore the Napier Museum to see sculpture, bronzes and musical instruments that reflect Kerala’s artistic heritage, followed by Kuthira Malika to view fine craftsmanship and royal artefacts.
At the Sri Chitra Art Gallery, we take in works by Raja Ravi Varma alongside other eminent artists. We continue to Attukal Temple before following the coast by road, pausing at Shankumugham Beach, Kovalam, Vizhinjam and Lighthouse Beach for sea views and sunset. We also visit the Kerala Arts & Crafts Village to meet artisans and watch weaving, pottery and woodcarving – you can try a simple craft if you wish. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Trivandrum
After breakfast at the hotel, please check out by 11:00. Our representative will meet you and we’ll arrange your transfer to Trivandrum airport for your onward journey – a relaxed farewell to Kovalam’s beaches and Trivandrum’s temples.
