Itinerary
Day 1 - Mumbai to Lonavala & Khandala
We depart Mumbai for Lonavala and Khandala – 85 km, approx. 2 hours – trading the city’s bustle for the cool mountain air and green hills of these twin hill stations. On arrival we check in to your hotel, a comfortable base amid verdant slopes, waterfalls and quiet lakes. In the afternoon we visit Tiger Point for sweeping views of the Western Ghats, then continue to Sunset Point to watch the colours shift across the hills. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 - Exploring Lonavala & Khandala
Lonavala and Khandala. We begin with the Karla Caves – ancient rock‑cut Buddhist shrines dating to the 2nd century BC – before continuing to the Bhaja Caves, set around 400 feet above Bhaja village and noted for inscriptions and cave temples that hint at everyday life in antiquity. We then make the ascent to Lohagad, a hill fort with enduring architectural features and a long, layered history. Afterwards, you can unwind and take in the hill views at your own pace. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Return to Mumbai
We depart Lonavala and Khandala and return to Mumbai – around 85 km, taking about 2 hours. On arrival, we drop you at your Mumbai hotel or the airport, bringing your private tour to a close.
