Itinerary
Day 1 - Delhi
On arrival at Delhi International Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel for check-in. Later, we explore Old Delhi, visiting the Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk and the Khari Baoli spice market, with a cycle rickshaw ride through the bustling lanes. We then take in New Delhi’s highlights, including Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb and the Lotus Temple, and drive past the President’s House, Parliament and India Gate. Overnight in Delhi.
Day 2 - Delhi
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Delhi to Agra – 204 km, around 4 hours – and check in on arrival. In the afternoon, we take a city tour of Agra, visiting the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Itmad ud Daula’s Tomb. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Abhaneri - Abhaneri
After breakfast, we drive from Agra to Jaipur – roughly 245 km, around 5 hours – stopping en route at Fatehpur Sikri, a 16th century ghost town, and Abhaneri, a small village known for its remarkable stepwells and temple. We then continue to Jaipur and check in at the hotel. In the evening, we explore the Pink City and visit its colourful bazaars; if you wish, you can round off the day with a Bollywood film at the opulent Rajmandir Cinema. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 - Jaipur
After breakfast at the hotel in Jaipur, we visit Amer Fort and nearby Jaigarh Fort, with a Jeep ride at Amber Fort. Later, we explore the city’s key monuments – City Palace, the Observatory, the Palace of Winds, Albert Hall Museum and Birla Temple. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 - Jaipur - Pushkar
Jaipur – Pushkar – Jodhpur (330 km – approx. 6 hours). After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Jodhpur, stopping en route to visit Pushkar. On arrival in Jodhpur we check in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure – you can relax and take it easy. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 - Jodhpur
Jodhpur After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a full-day city tour – visiting Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada, and Umaid Bhawan Palace and its museum. Later, we continue on an excursion to Mandore Garden and the chhatris. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 - Jodhpur - Ranakpur
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive from Jodhpur to Udaipur – about 260 kilometres, taking roughly five hours. En route you can choose to visit either the Ranakpur Jain Temple or Kumbhalgarh Fort. On arrival in Udaipur, we check in at the hotel. Later, we watch the Dharohar folk performance at Bagor ki Haveli. Overnight in Udaipur.
Day 8 - Udaipur
After breakfast, we set out on a full day tour of Udaipur, visiting the City Palace and its museum, along with selected gardens, temples and havelis. In the evening, we take a sunset boat ride on Lake Pichhola – a relaxed way to see the city from the water. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9 - Udaipur
Udaipur – Mount Abu (170 km – approx. 4 hours) After breakfast we drive to Mount Abu and check in on arrival. This hill station near the Gujarat border sits on a high rocky plateau in the Aravalli Range, surrounded by forest, offering a relatively cool climate and views over the arid plains below. In the centre of town, you can spend time at Nakki Lake – boating is popular – and you can visit the nearby Dilwara Temples, carved from white marble and of great spiritual importance. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 - Mount Abu
After breakfast at the hotel, you have the morning free to explore the surroundings or simply relax. In the afternoon we drive to Ahmedabad – a journey of about 230 km that takes roughly five hours. On arrival we check in at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 11 - Ahmedabad
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a full day city tour of Ahmedabad – home to notable museums and modernist architecture by Le Corbusier, Louis Kahn, B. V. Doshi and Charles Correa. We visit the Shaking Minarets, the Calico Museum of Textiles, Sabarmati Ashram, the Vichaar Museum at Vishala and the Kite Museum. Later, we explore Law Gardens for handicrafts and C. J. Road for shopping. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 - Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad to Bhavnagar (175 km – around 3 hours). After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Bhavnagar and check in. In the afternoon we take a city tour, visiting Gandhi Smriti – a living tribute to Mahatma Gandhi – and the Barton Library & Museum, one of Bhavnagar’s oldest institutions with collections of old books, manuscripts, arms and armour, and rare coins belonging to the former rulers of Bhavnagar. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 13 - Bhavnagar - Palitana - Junagadh
Bhavnagar – Palitana – Junagadh (215 km – 4 hours approx). After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to Junagadh, stopping en route to visit the Palitana Temples, around 51 km south west of Bhavnagar. This is the largest cluster of Jain temples, with 863 shrines rising from the base to the summit of Shatrunjaya Hill along a 3.5 km path of 3,950 steps. The complex evolved over some 900 years in two phases. We then continue to Junagadh and check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free and easy for you to relax. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 14 - Junagarh
Junagadh – Sasan Gir (70 km – approx. 1 hour 20 minutes) After breakfast, we explore Junagadh, an ancient fortified city at the foot of the temple studded Girnar Hill. Junagadh takes its name from the old fort that encircles the medieval town. We see the Ashokan rock edicts carved on a huge boulder en route to Mount Girnar and visit Uperkot Fort – the sombre and once near‑inaccessible citadel. In the afternoon we drive to Sasan Gir National Park and check in at the hotel. We include dinner this evening – overnight in Sasan Gir.
Day 15 - Sasan Gir National Park
After breakfast at the hotel, we set out on a safari in Gir Wildlife Sanctuary, a dry deciduous forest covering 1,424 sq km and the only place outside Africa where lions live in the wild. The reserve supports more than thirty species of mammals and twenty of reptiles, with rich birdlife too. Sightings may include sambar, chital (spotted deer), nilgai (blue bull), chinkara and the four‑horned antelope, with predators such as panther and hyena also present, plus bear and long tailed langur. Birdwatching is excellent – from crested serpent and hawk eagles to brown fish owl and paradise flycatcher – with areas like Adholia, Valadera, Ratanghuna and Pilipat especially rewarding. There is also a crocodile farm within the forest.After lunch we drive to Somnath – about 60 km, around 1 hour – and check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and take a walk on the beach. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 16 - Somnath - Porbandar
Somnath – Probandar – Dwarka (255 km – around 5 hours). After breakfast at the hotel, we visit the Somnath Temple – a Jyotirlinga shrine – together with the Paanch Pandav Caves, Somnath Beach and other nearby temples. In the late afternoon, we drive to Dwarka via Probandar and check in on arrival. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 17 - Dwarka
Dwarka – Rajkot (230 km – approx. 5 hours). After breakfast at the hotel, we visit Nageshwar Temple, a Jyotirlinga shrine. Dwarka is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage city – the Dwarkadhish Temple is known for its tiered main shrine, carved entrance and black marble idol of Lord Krishna – while Dwarka Beach and the nearby lighthouse overlook the Arabian Sea, and the Gaga Wildlife Sanctuary to the southeast protects migratory birds and endangered species such as the Indian wolf. In the afternoon we drive to Rajkot and check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 18 - Rajkot - Delhi
After breakfast, we explore Jubilee Garden – a large park with monuments from the colonial era – and the nearby sights. We see Connaught Hall at the centre of the gardens, then visit the historic Mohandas Gandhi High School, Kaba Gandhi No Delo, Rashtriya Shala, Watson Museum, Lang Library and the Rotary Midtown Library. At the Watson Museum – established in 1888 to honour Colonel James Watson and widely regarded as one of the finest in Gujarat – we view collections from the colonial period alongside artefacts from Mohenjodaro. Later, according to your flight schedule, we transfer to the airport for your flight to Delhi or Mumbai for onward travel.
