Day 1 - Dublin
Upon your arrival in Dublin, we will ensure a seamless transfer to your hotel. Once settled, you will have some leisure time to begin acquainting yourself with this vibrant city. In the afternoon, essential information regarding the commencement of your tour will be conveniently available on notice boards at the hotel reception. Use this time to unwind and prepare for the exciting days ahead in Ireland’s charming capital. Please note: This tour may have travellers joining or departing at various points along the route, meaning group composition can change during the tour. Please also be aware that depending on group composition, guiding may be in additional languages as well as English.
Day 2 - Dublin
We'll begin the day with a panoramic tour of Dublin, exploring the serene capital of Ireland. As we walk along the River Liffey, we'll discover the city's lush parks and historic university, as well as its lively city centre streets. We'll also view the exterior of the esteemed Trinity College. In the afternoon, you’ll have the opportunity to delve into the city at your own pace. Please be aware that, depending on our arrival time and the daylight hours, this tour might be held the previous afternoon.
Day 3 - Dublin - Caernarfon - Liverpool
On the third day of our journey, we'll set sail early in the morning on a ferry bound for Wales. This scenic voyage lasts between three to three and a half hours, offering a refreshing start to our day. Upon arrival, we'll head to the historic town of Caernarfon, renowned for its status as a World Heritage Site and dominated by the grandeur of its castle. You can indulge in a leisurely lunch here and take a stroll around the beautiful surroundings. Our adventure continues as we make our way to Liverpool. In this vibrant city, famous for its maritime history, we'll embark on a brief bus tour, showcasing Liverpool's significant landmarks. If you're a fan of music history, you might wish to visit The Beatles Museum during your time here.
Day 4 - Liverpool - Stratford - Oxford - London
Today, we'll delve into the heart of central England, beginning with a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon, the birthplace of William Shakespeare. You're free to wander through this charming town, perhaps exploring its literary history or enjoying a leisurely lunch. Our journey then leads us to Oxford, a city celebrated for its prestigious university and rich educational heritage. Walking through its storied streets, you'll be in the company of history’s luminaries. We'll then proceed to London, aiming to arrive by evening.
Day 5 - London
In the morning, we'll embark on a city tour of London, taking in the sights of Westminster, the Houses of Parliament, the City, and the River Thames. Following the tour, you'll have the afternoon to explore London at your leisure, with the option to join us for a visit to the picturesque Thames Valley, including the historic town of Windsor and its magnificent castle. In the evening, we'll gather at Piccadilly for a leisurely walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho, famous for its lively atmosphere, theatres, and entertainment. Please note that this evening itinerary might occasionally be scheduled for the previous day, depending on our arrival in London. We'll conclude the day by returning to the hotel by bus.
Day 6 - London
Spend a leisurely day at your own pace in London, immersing yourself in the city's unique blend of history and modernity. Whether you're drawn to exploring its iconic landmarks or seeking out hidden treasures, this charming city has something for everyone. Stroll through its vibrant neighbourhoods, discover world-class museums, or simply enjoy the local atmosphere. Take advantage of this free day to truly discover the memorable places that make London unforgettable.
Day 7 - London - Calais - Amiens - Paris
Today, we’ll leave the bustling city of London behind and embark on a journey to the continent. We begin with a ferry crossing from the UK to France. Upon arrival in Calais, we'll make a brief stop before heading to Amiens, a city renowned for its striking Gothic cathedral. In Amiens, you can take a leisurely walk through the vibrant narrow streets, explore the unique floating gardens, or visit the historic house where the famed writer Jules Verne once lived. Our day concludes as we travel onward to Paris, arriving by the evening.
Day 8 - Paris
Today, we delve into the rich history and culture of France with a visit to the magnificent Palace of Versailles. While entrance to the palace’s interiors is not included, the gardens offer a sight to behold with their meticulously crafted landscapes. Upon our return to Paris, we explore Montmartre, a delightful bohemian district renowned for its artists, painters, and iconic cabarets. To gain a full appreciation of the city's grandeur, we embark on a panoramic tour led by a local guide, showcasing Paris's majestic avenues and celebrated monuments. Following the tour, we head back to the hotel. In the evening, for those interested, there's an optional opportunity to enjoy a variety show.
Day 9 - Paris
Begin your day in the heart of Paris with an unforgettable visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. You'll have the opportunity to ascend to the second floor of this celebrated iron structure, with tickets included for a seamless experience. Following this breathtaking view, relax on a delightful boat cruise along the River Seine, lasting approximately an hour and fifteen minutes, and offering unique perspectives of the city’s landmarks. The afternoon is yours to explore Paris at your leisure, allowing you to delve into the treasures of this vibrant city at your own pace. Please note that the return transfer to the hotel is not included. If the wait times at the Eiffel Tower are excessive, we may adjust the schedule to ensure you have the best possible experience, potentially arranging the visit for another time or on Sunday.
Day 10 - Paris
Following breakfast, our journey concludes, leaving you with cherished memories of your adventures. As your time in Paris draws to a close, take a moment to reflect on the incredible experiences and cultural insights you've gained throughout this unforgettable exploration.
