Dublin - Galway. Welcome to Ireland! Leaving Dublin behind, we travel west through the picturesque Irish farmlands and peat bogs, passing through the counties of Kildare and Offaly. Our first destination is the Kilbeggan Distillery, where we’ll have the chance to relax with a glass of their famous whiskey and enjoy the atmosphere of this historic distillery.
After a couple of drams, we make our way to the mighty River Shannon, where the ancient ruins of Clonmacnoise Abbey stand proudly, surrounded by stone crosses, old churches, and distinctive round towers. This sacred site offers a captivating insight into Ireland’s spiritual past.
We then stop for lunch at a traditional pub in one of the area’s villages, before heading on to Galway City, where you’ll spend the night. With its lively ambiance, fantastic restaurants, bars, and traditional live music, Galway offers the perfect blend of Irish culture for your first evening in the city.
Please note: Check-in closes at 08:45 on day 1 (tour departs at 09:00) - Dublin Nassau Street Pick Up, Opposite the Kilkenny Shop, Nassau St, Dublin. In Ireland, alcohol cannot be served before midday on Sundays, so if your tour departs then, the distillery will be unable to serve alcohol.
Galway - Kilfenora - Killarney. Today, we start with a short drive along the coast from Galway, taking us to the stunning Burren, one of Ireland’s most cherished national treasures. Here, we’ll explore some of the earliest Christian settlements, with broad limestone pavements that stretch out before us, as if carved by the talons of a mythical dragon. Rare flora surrounds us, offering endless photo opportunities.
Next, we head to Kilfenora, the “town of the crosses,” where we can explore the ancient cathedral. We’ll then stop for lunch in one of the area’s charming villages.
As we journey to the Cliffs of Moher. We’ll soon see why these cliffs are famous as we walk the trails, with seabirds soaring above and the crashing ocean below. We’ll learn about the unique ecosystem at the award-winning exhibition, and we might even recognise the cliffs from films like Harry Potter & The Half-Blood Prince.
Our adventure continues south through County Clare, passing its famous golf course and making our way to Lahinch’s picturesque beach. We then board a ferry across the Shannon Estuary, before heading south to Killarney, where we’ll spend the next three nights. The town’s vibrant atmosphere, traditional pubs, and live music await us, providing the perfect setting for our evening.
Killarney - Dingle Peninsula - Killarney. Today, we travel to the Dingle Peninsula, where glorious beaches blend with iconic Irish scenery, and towering forts and ancient stone dwellings peek from the rolling hills. Our first stop is Inch Beach, a vast stretch of sand that reaches out into the Atlantic. It’s the perfect spot for a wander, a photo, or perhaps a brave dip in the sea.
We then venture down narrow roads, leading us to Slea Head, an area rich with ancient forts and prehistoric dwellings. Here, the full grandeur of the Wild Atlantic Way reveals itself as we stroll along beaches and cliff tops, soaking in the incredible vistas.
Next, we return to Dingle, with its brightly coloured houses and lively harbour, where we’ll spend the afternoon. You can sample fresh seafood by the waterfront, explore the charming shops, or enjoy a treat at Murphy’s Ice Cream, renowned for its Arán Donn, Irish Brown Bread ice cream, caramelised with muscovado sugar, since its opening in 2000.

Today, we embark on a journey through the breathtaking Ring of Kerry, where lush green hills, sparkling lakes, and towering cliffs that plunge into the ocean await us. We begin by weaving through valleys, towns, and villages, passing the mighty Macgillycuddy's Reeks and Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s highest peak. Along the way, we make stops at Daniel O’Connell’s birthplace and a historic ring fort outside Portmagee, with flexibility for spontaneous detours to “The Liberator of Ireland” Daniel O’Connell’s birthplace and an impressive ring fort outside Portmagee.
After a stop for lunch in the charming fishing village of Portmagee, you have the option to have a quick snack and then visit the Skellig Experience on Valentia Island, where you can learn about the ancient monks who once called the rocky outcrop home.
In the afternoon, we take in the views at Waterville, Charlie Chaplin’s beloved “home away from home,” before heading to Coonmakista Pass for panoramic vistas. We then visit Derrynane House, the family home of Daniel O’Connell, where you can enjoy a peaceful walk through the gardens or along the beach. Continuing along the Ring, we stop at Moll’s Gap and Ladies View, a spot favoured by Queen Victoria and her ladies-in-waiting. Our day concludes with a visit to Torc Waterfall, where we stroll along a moss-covered trail before returning to Killarney for the evening.
Killarney - Kinsale. Today, we will explore the romantic side of Ireland, starting with a visit to the dramatic Blarney Castle, where we’ll have the opportunity to kiss the famous Blarney Stone. Legend says that kissing this stone grants the ‘gift of the gab,’ so we may discover if it works for us.
We’ll then head to the colourful town of Kinsale for lunch, where we’ll spend the rest of the afternoon and evening. This picturesque port town is a feast for both the eyes and the taste buds, offering us the chance to sample delicious local seafood. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.

This morning, we continue our journey, first visiting the eerie Drombeg Stone Circle, also known as the Druid’s Altar. Here, amid 17 standing stones, an ancient burial urn was discovered. We can only wonder who it belonged to.
Next, we marvel at the Altar Wedge Tomb, a megalithic site dating back to the Stone Age. This sacred site, where bones were found, offers a fascinating glimpse into Ireland's ancient past.
As we travel along the Wild Atlantic Way, we arrive at Mizen Head, a breathtaking spot where the raw beauty of the Atlantic Ocean crashes against the cliffs. We’ll take in the iconic views, cross the bridge for a closer look, and visit the Signal Station. You’ll have time to snap photos, enjoy a bite at the visitor centre, and explore the shop.
Our final stop is the picturesque town of Bantry, set around a beautiful harbour. You can explore the quirky shops, chat with the friendly locals, or visit the grand Bantry House & Gardens, inspired by European palazzos. After a day of discovery, we return to Kinsale for the evening, perhaps enjoying another pint or two.
Kinsale - Waterford. We begin the day at Charles Fort, one of Ireland’s largest and most impressive military installations. This star-shaped structure has played key roles in Irish history, making it the perfect spot for a few photos of its striking exterior.
Next, we visit Midleton Distillery (formerly Jameson) for an insightful tour of the facility and a taste of their renowned whiskey, widely regarded as the heart and soul of Irish whiskey.
With a bit of a buzz, we head to the charming town of Cobh for lunch and free time. You can explore the Titanic Experience, discover the grand cathedral, or wander the historic centre at your leisure.
Finally, we make our way to Waterford, taking the scenic coastal route and making a few photo stops along the way. We might pause at Bunmahon Beach to admire the rugged coastline or visit the fascinating Tankardstown Copper Mine, keeping the surprises flexible and leaving you with memories of hidden gems.
Waterford - Kilkenny - Waterford. Today, we will be uncovering endless treasures of Ireland, starting with Jerpoint Abbey. This remarkable 12th-century Cistercian site sits in peaceful ruins, yet its Romanesque and Gothic architecture still awe us as we explore the remains of this once-thriving spiritual hub.
Next, we head to Kilkenny, a city that beautifully blends the modern with the medieval, nestled along the banks of the River Nore. Our first stop is the Smithwick’s Experience, where we delve into the history of this 18th-century brewery. As we tour the brewery, we’ll have the chance to sample some of their finest ale, and enjoy the interactive experience that brings Kilkenny’s brewing legacy to life. Afterward, you’ll have time to wander this charming city at your own pace, with its array of museums, the impressive Kilkenny Castle, and a wealth of shops and restaurants waiting to be explored.
Our final stop of the day is Kells Priory, one of Ireland’s largest medieval monuments. As we roam the site, we’ll uncover the ruins of its infirmary, workshop, kitchen, and mill. However, it’s the imposing medieval defences that truly tell the story of this once-mighty site, earning it the local name ‘Seven Castles of Kells.’
After a day of discovery, we return to Waterford for the evening, where you’ll have time to relax, dine, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of this historic seaport town.
Waterford - Dublin. Today is our final day on tour, but the adventure continues. We begin in the charming town of New Ross, on the banks of the River Barrow, where we visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship. This authentic replica of an 1840s emigrant vessel offers us a powerful insight into the hardships faced by those who fled Ireland during the Great Famine, bringing history to life in a truly moving way.
Next, we journey to the famous Glendalough Monastic Site, founded by St Kevin in the 6th century. As we explore the ruins of this ‘Monastic City’, we marvel at the 30-metre Round Tower, the ancient archways, and the remains of the Priest’s House.
