You’ll head north to Tsavo East National Park, Kenya’s largest, where you can enjoy thrilling game drives with chances to spot iconic African animals across vast plains and rolling hills. After a night at a lodge within the park, you’ll set off early for another morning safari before returning to Mombasa’s beautiful beaches. Day 1 - Mombasa - Voi
After an early breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver-guide and depart – pick-up is at 06:00 for South Coast hotels and 07:00 for North Coast hotels. We travel north along the main highway towards Nairobi, following the historic railway line built by the British in the late nineteenth century. The route passes through Mombasa’s outskirts, with warehouses and workshops, before climbing steadily to reveal the vast plains of Tsavo and the distant Taita Hills. Enter Tsavo East National Park at Buchuma Gate, where the driver will open the roof of your vehicle, allowing you to stand and enjoy the fresh air as the safari begins. Tsavo East is Kenya’s largest national park, covering 12,000 square kilometres. We arrive at the lodge in time for lunch, followed by some relaxation before heading back into the park for an afternoon game drive. Return to the lodge to watch the sunset. Lunch and dinner are included. Overnight in Tsavo East.
Day 2 - Mombasa
We begin the day with an early morning game drive in Tsavo East National Park, offering a chance to spot wildlife in the cooler hours before returning to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, we check out and depart for Mombasa. You will arrive at your beach hotel in the afternoon – around 2:30 pm for South Coast hotels and 1:30 pm for North Coast hotels – allowing you time to relax by the Indian Ocean.
