Itinerary
Day 1 - Bangkok
On arrival at Bangkok International Airport, we’ll meet and greet you and guide you to your transfer to the hotel. Once there, the rest of the day is at leisure to get acquainted with Bangkok. You could unwind with a traditional Thai massage, sample local flavours, and finish the day with sunset views from one of the city’s stylish rooftop bars – the options are limitless. Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 2 - Bangkok
After breakfast, we spend half a day exploring three of Bangkok’s most significant Buddhist sites. We begin at Wat Traimit – the Temple of the Golden Buddha – which houses a 3 metre tall statue made of solid gold and weighing 5.5 tonnes. We then pass through Chinatown en route to Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha and home to the Chedis of the Kings; the statue here is 46 metres long and 15 metres high, depicting the Buddha’s passing into nirvana. We continue to the Grand Palace – former residence of the Kings of Bangkok – an outstanding example of an ancient Siamese court. Within the complex we see a range of palaces used for different occasions, including the Funeral Palace, Reception Palace, Throne Hall, Coronation Hall, Royal Guest House and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. To round off the tour, we stop at a local lapidary factory and showroom, where you can browse for locally made jewellery, handicrafts and silk at competitive prices.Note: The Grand Palace is closed during special royal ceremonies and during visiting heads of state.Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 3 - Bangkok - Maeklong - Damnoen Saduak
After breakfast, we leave Bangkok for the Maeklong Railway Market – Talad Rom Hoop. On arrival, our guide shares the history of the market before we take our place to watch the train pass directly through the stalls – a swift, memorable routine that unfolds in minutes. We then continue to the world‑famous Damnoen Saduak Floating Market to experience its lively canals, where merchants paddle sturdy canoes stacked with fresh fruit and vegetables, selling to shoppers along the banks. It’s an engaging look at local trading and a good spot to browse for bargains. We return to Bangkok afterwards. Breakfast included. Overnight in Bangkok.
Day 4 - Bangkok
After a final breakfast at the hotel, you have free time to spend at leisure – then we arrange an unescorted transfer to Bangkok Airport for your onward flight to your next destination.
